Update to Disney Cruise Line Health & Safety Policies

Beginning Sept. 23, 2022, for sailings aboard the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish and Disney Wonder and beginning Nov. 7, 2022, for sailings aboard the Disney Magic, fully vaccinated Guests are no longer required to participate in COVID-19 testing in order to sail. Guests who are NOT fully vaccinated must continue providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken one to 3 days before the sail date. However, Guests who are not fully vaccinated will no longer be required to complete a second test at the terminal on embarkation day.

Disney Cruise Line Health and Safety Update


Following recently updated guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, DCL has updated the face covering requirements for sailings originating from a U.S. port of departure. Beginning March 11, face coverings on Disney Cruise Line will become optional in most indoor locations throughout the ships.

Updates to Disney Genie+ Service

Between Feb. 25, 2022 – Aug. 7, 2022, the following attractions will be added to Disney Genie+ service*:

Magic Kingdom Park: Space Mountain
EPCOT: Frozen Ever After
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
During this time period, these attractions will not be available for purchase a la carte. This will help to give Guests more options as we prepare for a busy spring and summer season.

*Attractions with Lightning Lane entrances that are Disney Genie+ and individual purchases are limited in availability, subject to change or closure, may vary by date, are not guaranteed and may not be available at all on the date of visit or at the time you make a selection.

I want to tell you a little story. I have some friends that I LITERALLY created a slide show for in 2019 to convince them to cruise. They sort of reluctantly agreed and cruised with us in January 2020. I just stole this from their Facebook. They just got back from their second cruise. So glad I get to help them explore this love of being on a boat with Mickey and Minnie.

EEK!! I love this water pageant!

The beloved Electrical Water Pageant joins in the fun of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” with new celebratory scenes featuring a towering castle, swirling pixie dust and a version of the celebration anthem song, “The Magic is Calling,” bookending the full traditional show as it sails nightly across Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. The Disney Wish will set sail on its maiden voyage June 9, 2022, followed by sailings of three- and four- night cruises from Port Canaveral to The Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Bookings open to the general public on May 27, 2021.
