We’re continuing our series which highlights organizations who make our community so great. And we all know, local libraries are the heart of all communities!

This month, we’re highlighting the Kankakee Public Library who strives to inform, enrich, and empower all people in the community by providing equal access to information and programs.

The library considers themselves a “third place” for so many community members to enjoy, beyond just being at work and home. “Being a small city and the benefits that come with a tightknit community. We love that our patrons know our staff by name and feel safe in our library.”

Visitors who make their way to the Kankakee Public Library will feel the love from the staff there! They take great pride in their high level of customer service, and it most definitely shows. (P.S. They’re one of the very best TikTok follows of all time! Check out their page to see how rad their staff’s personalities are.)
