Smiles Change Lives

Smiles Change Lives SCL helps kids get braces whose families cannot afford the full cost of orthodontic treatment.

The Virginia Brown Community Orthodontic Partnership was established in 1997 as a community-based orthodontic program to help children whose families could not afford the full cost of braces receive orthodontic treatment from local orthodontists. Now known as Smiles Change Lives (SCL), it has grown into an international organization with close to 700 orthodontists nationwide and in Canada particip

ating in the program. To date, over 10,000 children have received life-changing orthodontic treatment through SCL. To find out if you qualify for our program, please visit our website at:

This month-long national health observance brings together thousands of dedicated professionals, healthcare providers, and educators to promote the benefits of good oral health to children, their caregivers, teachers and many others.

And tomorrow is not only Groundhog Day but also the Give Kids A Smile® Day. The GKAS program provides underserved children with free oral health care, oral health education, screenings, preventive and restorative treatment to over 300,000 children.
