MHFG is focused on supplying the assistance required to deal with some of the biggest problems faced by fathers.
77% of non-custodial fathers are “not” able to “visit” their children, as ordered by the court. Many fathers paying child support cannot support a personal household and do not qualify for government assistance. Home ownership continues to be an unreachable dream for many hardworking fathers. This is especially true for local fathers making less than 60 percent of the Area Median Income, and responsible for child support. These low‐income fathers are often forced to live in costly and substandard housing due to soaring rents, high occupancy rates, and growing utility, food, medical, and transportation costs.
