When I did use it in a city, it distorted everything, of course. It's really a landscape type lens at 20mm, in my opinion. There is not a spec of dust on the lens, or any kind of scratches whatsoever or your money back.

So it’s effectively new, OPEN BOX. No dings or scratches, nothing. In the end I’ll end up with half of the price I paid only a few months after I bought it.

It is extremely upsetting when the cost of a green packaging solution like Ranpak.com exceeds our ability to pay for that solution.

Our industry should be ashamed of using bubble wrap and styrofoam.

I am ashamed and it pains me. Because it’s basically true that if you’re not part of the solution you’re part of the problem in such cases.

Above all else I’m STILL the guy who moved to St Louis to attend Washington University School of Law to BECOME an environmental lawyer 30+ years ago. Unfortunately me and the Socratic method didn’t get along too well.

But I’m still that person and it’s atrocious that we use the materials that we can afford and have to live with the psychic consequences of this choice to stay in business.

Cognitive dissonance isn’t funny.

At home we are have been recycling for decades. What the town actually does with it is still a mystery.

Shipping is a necessary thing but it comes at a massive cost. Think of the jet fuel required to get billions of packages flown around the earth in the shortest time possible.

Amazon alone is definitely decimating the skies with toxic fumes. And tens of thousands of vehicles spewing toxic fumes. Everyone loves the convenience, but nobody is going to like the price tag for the destruction of the Earth.

Definitely not my style- but it is indeed a very, very valuable Louis Vuitton vintage chest that seems like beautiful, aged (possibly) leather wallpaper. I’ve seen LV chests online that go for over $250K. So someone loves them! I do appreciate the historical value for sure!

7 cameras with mic - the lengths we needed to go through to shorten the incredibly long claims process. Having proof of what we did and/or how customers decide to pack things themselves (which now requires opening above a certain value). Hopefully it will be useful- at the very least I can now see if they are overloaded up front and pitch in. Usually I”m doing virtual mail all day.

After a year of calling UPS over and over to get a new lighted window sign that works, I gave up and gutted the box and installed a 900 lumen LED light strip and it works perfectly. It’s probably 20 years old, but despite the fact that I finally bounced around to someone claiming they’d send a new one…this is the result.

How I got an $1,100 chair absolutely free today. This is one of our Steelcase Leap drafting stools. It sells for about $1,100, and is frequently reviewed as the finest chair money can buy for under $2,000. About a month ago I noticed that a very minor button had fallen off that controlled raising and lowering the arms. It wasn’t a big deal since you could fit your finger in the spot and still raise and lower the arm. So I wrote them a short email saying that for $1,100, the only thing that should fall off the chair is ME. This tiny button is probably cost Steelcase $0.50. Some genius at the authorized reseller decided it wasn’t worth me sending them the arm, or just the 1” piece of plastic. So I figured I’d have to deal with sending it back, or really just the arm. My family who knows my bizarre ability to get very expensive things for free will just yawn. “There goes Matthew again getting more free stuff..!this has happened SO many times I don’t even try to figure it out. SO, bottom line? Steelcase or really the reseller just sent me a brand new chair… for FREE. Nobody in my store can comprehend what happened… but you can see the giant box sitting next to the chair, and it’s a sealed brand new chair. It’s the most expensive item I have gotten for free so far and that’s was already a high bar because I have gotten SO many things for free in the last 20 years, it has become a joke. We didn’t need it, and the chair in the sealed box is huge and we have no need for it right now. I’ve gotten many things for free in the sub $1,000 price range but this raises the bar to $1,000 or so more than anything else, ever.

Definitely NOT something you see every day - actually EVER, unless you’re a pilot or aircraft mechanic. These are 50 lb. (each) Magnetic Amplifiers - called Mag Amps. Been around for decades - but I don’t have the physics background to understand what they do in airplanes.

This is our FedEx Ground driver, Cory, who is always so calm and capable no matter how many FedEx Ground monstrous packages we have every day - it’s usually about 50 large and heavy or large OR heavy packages. We love Cory, and we also have great FedEx Express drivers that we’ll highlight another day.

So here are the walls of the store in late 2021 - people take photos of the walls….and constantly praise them - I end up giving tours and telling people where I got stuff. It creates a very positive atmosphere in a store that was just blank walls.

Don’t look up the price per night unless you’re sitting down. People come to our store from several nearby towns because our cards are unique - but these are not going to be at any trade show. So check them out and let me know what you think. We sell a boatload of cards and these are really selling incredibly well.

Imagine what 12 heavy boxes of men’s cosmetics costs to send by DHL…. Meaning heavy and traveling very, very many thousands of miles. The reality is that it will also arrive faster to almost any point on Earth than sending a letter via USPS to someplace 30 minutes away in our own county. That’s how good DHL is and how abysmal USPS is. They remind me of Soviet era bread lines. Horrific.
