Well, it won't be long now (April) when the town mails out forms for resident parking stickers for Goose Rocks Beach. Of course, parking your bike is always free! Can't wait!

Just updating PARKING INFO:
-Parking at Goose Rocks Beach Beginning on June 15, limited parking will be allowed on Kings Highway and D**e Road for both residents and nonresidents who have daily, weekly, or seasonal parking stickers. Since safety is our highest priority, we will continue this phased in approach if circumstances continue to improve.

Sticker Prices are as followed:

Kennebunkport taxypayers/residents: $5.00
Non-Residents:
Daily: $25.00
Weekly: $100.00
Seasonal: $200.00

Beach Stickers can be purchased at the following locations:
Town Office, 6 Elm St.- 8 AM-4:30 PM
Goose Rocks Beach General Store starting June 15 (only daily non-resident stickers) Call 967-4541
Parking Sticker Kiosk located at the Broadway public access point (Broadway and Kings Highway). Only daily parking stickers sold with debit or credit card (no cash).

This just in from the State from an article in the Portland Press Herald:

Q: Can I come to Maine without quarantining for 14 days?

A: Yes. As of July 1, out-of-state residents will not be subject to a quarantine IF they sign a certificate indicating that they have tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arrival. They may be asked to provide proof of test results....

Well, more parking spots have opened, I watched the Goose Rocks Beach Advisory Committee meeting on Kennebunkport TV this evening, and it turns out you CAN sit on the beach (with your household members). AT LEAST FOR NOW. How people behave (social distancing-wise) as well as the number of new covid19 cases will determine how restrictive things might get. Some out-of-staters have not been self-quarantining for 14 days as per the definition.
Governor Mills is proposing that out-of-staters provide proof of a recent negative covid19 test in lieu of self-quarantine. She is seeking feedback...STAY TUNED!
Daily beach stickers will be sold beginning July 1 at the General Store. They are NOT being sold at the police station this year. As always, bring your registration with you to purchase. Just in: Parking for up to 39 cars now open to Kennebunkport taxpayers with parking stickers until June 1, then up to 84 spaces. June 15 it will open up to non-residents of the town who have stickers (128 spaces) and July 1, all 173 spots will become available to those with parking stickers.
While at the beach, you must be moving; currently no sitting allowed. Stay 6 feet apart, but household members can walk closer together.
Out of staters MUST quarantine for 14 days which means only allowed out to go to a medical appt. as per police.

No rentals in Kennebunkport allowed before July 1, and out-of-staters must self-quarantine for 14 days. Goose Rocks Beach parking is blocked off, and our resort's common areas (including pools and clubhouse) are closed until further notice. Many local restaurants are only open for take-out. This is subject to change based on Governor Mills' /town of Kennebunkport and our HOA's directives.

I am honoring full refunds for any bookings up to 14 days before check-in should things not open up sufficiently to make renting worthwhile this season.

We will miss our loyal families from Canada and out-of-state, but stay tuned, and stay hopeful!
