Huge shoutout to Princess Cruises for offering a fantastic tour of Tokyo right after our cruise ends! If you’ve ever cruised, you know disembarking before 9 AM can leave you with a long wait at the airport if your flight isn't until later. But we lucked out—after leaving the ship at 9 AM, we explored two awesome stops in Tokyo, enjoyed a leisurely lunch, squeezed in some shopping, and made it to the airport by 2:30 PM for our 5:15 PM flight.

Tokyo is like stepping into the future! With highways weaving between skyscrapers and trains zipping to every corner, the energy of this metropolis is electric. It’s incredible that the world's largest city, boasting over 37 million people, is also one of the cleanest and safest. We visited the breathtaking Meiji Shrine, the iconic Sensoji Temple, and the vibrant Ginza shopping district—definitely a must for anyone visiting!

Japan’s hospitality is truly unmatched; the culture is incredibly proud and welcoming. Until next time—because yes, there will be a next time! Arigato!🇯🇵✨

We're back from our little break with some more Japan content! 🎌As we sailed into Shimizu, it’s easy to see why this gem is considered one of Japan's most beautiful ports! On one side, you’ve got the vibrant urban city with its towering Ferris Wheel, and on the other, the stunning Mt. Fuji peeking out like a shy girl hiding behind clouds, giving us only fleeting glimpses of her majestic beauty. It’s spot on—by lunchtime, she had completely vanished!🗻

Our adventure didn't stop there! We explored the enchanting areas around Mt. Fuji and had a fantastic time at a local sake distillery, where we sampled some delicious brews. Plus, we strolled through the lush green tea fields, discovering the incredible benefits of this special beverage. Cheers to a day packed with beauty and flavor!🍶✨

Arriving in Kagoshima is like stepping into a postcard with the stunning Sakurajima volcano greeting you as you pull into port. Today, we had a blast exploring a traditional bonito fishery and a shoji distillery, where old-school craftsmanship has been the norm for over 150 years. This port might just be the most picturesque we’ve seen—its volcanic shores and lush green mountains are reminiscent of Northern California and have earned it the nickname "Naples of Japan." Kagoshima is also famous for its green tea and rich samurai history. It's a must-visit spot on any Japanese adventure!🌋🐟

Today we made our one and only stop in Korea!🛳 With a variety of escorted excursions available from Princess, we decided to explore on our own and enjoy our adventure at our own pace. We’re glad we did—given the temperatures crept into the 90s with about 80% humidity, having control over our schedule was a real plus. Jeju Island is a nature lover’s paradise, featuring volcanic landscapes, waterfalls, and stunning beaches. It’s known as the honeymoon capital of Korea and the surrounding islands.

While the natural beauty was impressive, we were particularly drawn to the local markets. Korean skincare and makeup are clearly a big deal, as evidenced by the numerous shops and products. For those who share a passion for exploring local markets, the Dongmun Market was a true sensory experience, showcasing everything from various cuts of pork to an array of seafood and other intriguing items. After a stimulating market visit, we enjoyed an authentic Korean BBQ lunch at Everyday Ole Don, where we savored the rich flavors of Korean cuisine.
