As 2024 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on a transformative year for our team. After 35 years in our downtown office, we moved just a few blocks down the road, embracing a new chapter in a new space. We said goodbye to our beloved team member Bob Karnes, and this week we are celebrating Maria Bonanno as she embarks on her next adventure... retirement.

Despite these changes, 2024 was filled with incredible achievements. Our team has not only expanded but has grown stronger. Thanks to our staff's exceptional dedication and our client's continued trust, we've enjoyed tremendous success and are ready to achieve even greater accomplishments in 2025!

This past Friday evening, November 29th, we lost one of our honorary team members. From taking care of our banking needs and errands to just stopping in to say "hello" and grab a snack - Bob will always be a proud team member to all of us here at LaMacchia Travel. ❤️

Maria Bonanno and her son Chef, Daniel Bonanno just returned from leading an exclusive group on an unforgettable journey through Umbria and Puglia! Their days were filled with cooking classes, wine and oil tastings, and even truffle hunting. 🍴🌳
 
Each place they visited was like a page out of a storybook. From the sweeping hilltop views in Montefalco to the cobblestoned streets of San Gimignano and the ancient walls of the Benedictine Abbey in Badia a Passignano—it all felt like stepping back in time. And oh, the chocolates! Tasting the famous Baci chocolates at Casa del Cioccolato Perugina in Umbria was a sweet highlight.
 
Their adventure continued in Puglia, from the fresh seafood in Bari to the charming trulli houses in Alberobello, each experience was more enchanting than the last. Ending the trip with a scenic boat ride along Polignano a Mare’s dramatic coastline was the perfect finale. 🚤💦
