Lake of Lights is a spectacular drive-through Christmas celebration of lights and sound featuring nearly a half-million twinkling lights and displays designed to bring out the magic of the Christmas season for everyone attending. Their seven-tenths of a mile excursion includes both static and moving displays as well as popular Christmas music to send you back in time to where the magic of Christmas excited your imagination.

Check out their page for special event nights. The cost for the event is only $5.00 per car so feel free to attend more than once.

𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: The Kenton Historic Courthouse District partners with a large team of volunteers to bring Christmas magic to the downtown shop windows in a spectacle called Window Wonderland. The unveiling of Window Wonderland is paired with the Kenton Lions Club: Ohio's Biggest Small Town Christmas Parade, held annually the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Enjoy the wonder as Santa comes to Kenton!

𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: Andreoff Wildlife Area, located on the Hardin and Wyandot County line, just 10 miles northeast of Kenton has more than 700 acres of public land. The wildlife area provides opportunities for people to hunt, trap, and view wildlife. The wildlife area hosts approximately 86 species of breeding birds and nearly 175 species are viewed on the property each year, including threatened and endangered species like trumpeter swans, sandhill cranes, northern harriers, American bittern, and king rail.

𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: Gormley Park is a hidden gem of Hardin County located in the Village of Forest. The park offers a variety of recreational activities, including playground equipment, a splash pad, a storybook walk, softball/baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts, sand volleyball courts, and a picturesque stocked pond. There are also three pavilion buildings that can be rented for special occasions such as family reunions and birthday parties. It is also home to the famous Jackson-Forest Fire Department's annual Tree Town Festival held every July.

Please plan to join us for an afternoon of family fun on Sunday, October 13th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Russ Curtis’ located at 17947 TR 95, Kenton.
There will be horse-drawn wagon rides, ham & bean soup cooked over an open fire, corn bread, hot dogs and s’mores.
Directions from Kenton: Take 67 west out of Kenton. Go 6.2 miles. Turn left (south) on to CR 95. Go 1.3 miles. Turn right (west) on to CR 180. Turn left (south) on to CR 95. Go 1.8 miles.
Destination on right. Signs will be posted.

𝐓𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓: The Hardin Soil and Water Conservation District offers twenty-five acres for visitors to enjoy and includes a self-guided nature trail with markers identifying trees and plants, trails in the woods, a wetland with a bridge to walk over, shelter house, and handicap accessible paved paths at the front of the center. Scenic woodlands, meadow, and streamlet provide a learning laboratory of ecological study.

A Geocache has also been placed in the area, for those feeling adventurous.

Silver Creek Center is open to any groups or families that would like to utilize the center. Visits for groups require reservations by calling, 419-673-0456.
