Snow on the Island Reminder ❄️☃️

Don't miss "Snow on the Island" this tomorrow! On December 8, 15, and 22, take a walk along Tranquility Island in Louise Hays Park, 202 Thompson Dr., and experience “snow” in Kerrville. Tranquility Island is lit for the holidays, and what better way to celebrate the season than with lights and snow.

Artificial “snow” will be available from 5-6:30 p.m. Bring your friends, family, and cameras to help celebrate this wonderful holiday season. Please note that the artificial “snow” is not meant for ingestion, but is perfectly safe to play in!

The Holiday Lighted Parade starts tomorrow, November 18 at 6:00 p.m. in Downtown Kerrville! We can't wait to see you there! ⛄

The parade will commence at the corner of the G Street Bridge and Water Street. It will travel westbound on Water Street, make a right on Earl Garrett, and will end at the Kerr County Courthouse. The Courthouse Lighting Ceremony will serve as the finale of the parade.

Once the parade is over, the community is encouraged to join us on Tranquility Island in Louise Hays Park to enjoy the Light the Island celebration. The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department has decorated the trees of Tranquility Island with Christmas lights in an effort to bring the holiday spirit to Louise Hays Park and the River Trail.

Excited about tomorrow night's Holiday Lighted Parade? So are we! KPD officers and Kerrville Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (KCPAAA) volunteers will be on the route to ensure everyone's safety and assist with crowd management, and as a reminder, be aware of the street closure times listed below. All vehicles need to be be removed from downtown before 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. For your protection and that of others, please don't bypass any barricades or safety signs. Doing so may result in fines. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening!
