Taquan Air - Ketchikan Alaska Serving and exploring Alaska, one floatplane ride at a time! 🌲✈️ Taquan Air operates 7 de Havilland Beavers and 3 de Havilland Otters.

Throughout the year we provide scheduled services to the surrounding communities and on demand charters to cabins, lakes and other locations. During the summer months from May through early October, we offer a variety of shore excursions including the Deluxe Misty Fjords Flightseeing and Bear Viewing Adventures.

As you walk through the main entrance on the second level, you'll be greeted by a spacious front office area, illuminated by TWO LARGE SKYLIGHTS and ample natural light. This area is perfect for a welcoming reception, coworking space, or client waiting room.
Just off the main space are 4 front offices, each offering unique features. THE FRONT CORNER OFFICE boasts 2 large windows to the water side where you can watch planes take off or cruise ships coming in. The other 3 front offices have plenty of natural light, space, and partial water views as well.
Moving towards the street side of the building, you'll find three private offices, one being a SECOND CORNER OFFICE with similar water views.
This space also features a fully equipped kitchenette room (not pictured) with plenty of countertop space, a full-size sink, and upper and lower cabinets, providing the perfect spot for meals or coffee breaks. There's even room for a full-sized fridge to complete this functional space. For added convenience, another dedicated storage room with built-in cabinetry is available for office supplies or additional storage/kitchen space.
Located centrally in town, this office offers the perfect balance convenient access to everything without being caught in the hustle and bustle of cruise season traffic. It's the ideal spot for businesses looking for both accessibility and tranquility.
Natural light floods the entire space, thanks to strategically placed skylights and large windows. Thoughtful design elements like interior "see-through" windows (complete with blinds) create a sense of openness while maintaining privacy when needed.
The layout also includes a private back entrance for seamless employee access and a spacious bathroom. With a total of 7 OFFICES, a kitchenette, and ample storage, this space is ideal for businesses seeking a professional yet inspiring environment.

PILOT HIGHLIGHT ⭐️✈️: Mark Hansen, Chief Pilot

Mark Hansen joined Taquan Air in July 2023 shortly before being promoted to training pilot and since then, Chief Pilot. Hansen is a Commercial Pilot with over 40 years of experience. Hansen realized his dream of becoming a pilot when he was around 10 years old, and by the time he turned 20, he was already gaining experience in the airline industry by unloading planes. At 24, Hansen purchased his first airplane and equipped it with floats in International Falls, Minnesota. Before relocating to Ketchikan, Hansen worked with Emerald Air Service in Homer, Alaska, providing grizzly bear tour flights. Prior to joining Taquan, Hansen gained valuable experience in Ketchikan, serving as a Check Airman, Chief Pilot, and Director of Operations for various local seaplane companies. We are so lucky to have you on our team Mr. Hansen!! 😁🙌

Taquan Air, based in Ketchikan and established in 1977, is the proud operator of 9 de Havilland beavers and 3 de Havilland otters. Taquan Air provides scheduled services on a daily basis, on demand charters, and various tours throughout the Southeast region of Alaska. We offer and operate under the highest set of regulations ensuring your safety as our top priority!

Our team here at Taquan Air aims for the highest quality customer care and safety to provide you with the experience of a lifetime; whether it be traveling on a scheduled run, reserving a charter for a fishing trip, dropping freight to send to an outlying community, or joining us on one of our shore excursions.
