What a beautiful day to enjoy the fall colors!
2024 has been a year of big additions at the Bruemmer Park Zoo! Haven't been here lately? Let us show you what you've been missing!
Did you know that Kewaunee County is a great bird watching destination? 🐦⬛🐦🦅 Lake Michigan, multiple rivers and green fields draw many types of birds to our area.
But don't take our word for it! We asked Professional Nature Photographer, John Walch, (ahead of his presentation tonight at the Algoma Public Library in our own Bird City) what makes Kewaunee County such a rich bird environment. 🦆 (Every bird in this video was photographed in Kewaunee County!)

🐐🦊🦌 We all love visiting the animals at Bruemmer Park Zoo, but did you ever wonder what went into keeping them happy and healthy? We got up early one morning and followed Hailey around to take a peek behind the curtain just ahead of this year's 13th Annual Zoobilee!

Kewaunee County is a great destination for those who love the outdoors! This northeast Wisconsin community, situated along nearly 28 miles of beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline is ideal for fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking and swimming at the beach.
We also have a great view of the Bay of Green Bay, as well as public access to many lakes, rivers and parks that are perfect for picnics too! And, we highly recommend taking advantage of hiking, biking or horseback riding on the Ahnapee State Trail or backpacking on the Ice Age Trail during spring, summer and fall!
Then, when the snow starts to fly in winter and the open waters freeze over, the outdoor recreational fun changes over to snowmobiling, ice fishing and skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing or snowshoeing at Winter Park.
Got a need for speed? Catch the dirt-track races at Luxemburg Speedway, when the temperatures are warm or ride your ATV or UTV at Riverview ATV Park.
Although, if you like things at a bit slower pace, hop in a golf cart and tee off at our beautiful courses.
Meanwhile, for the treasure hunters we have antique shops galore and tons of unique finds at our downtown art galleries, boutiques and specialty stores.
We also have plenty of weekend events to offer our visitors. There's something for everyone year-round including classic car shows, fishing tournaments, 5k run/walks, parades, heritage and wine festivals and more.
Now, if you're looking to be a connoisseur of sorts, stroll through the vineyards of our local wineries or pull up a stool at our area breweries to learn about the process of making beer. And, don't forget to carve out some time for a stop at our many cheese and meat markets, too! Perhaps, you’re ready to dine? Grab a table at our cafés and casual restaurants and unwind.
Lodging is no problem either, we have plenty of places to rest. And, after you're all caught up on sleep and feeling the best, we’re sure that you’ll be able to find many other things to do.
Kewaunee County has something for everyone, visit us today and vacation like a local!
