It was a fundraiser gala and a prelude to the Maui Food and Experience concert at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center (tickets still on sale for this Sept 7 show). There will be music from 4pm to 9:30pm. Experience more fun here in Maui! 💛

This well-planned home is beautifully furnished in tropical style and comes complete with beach towels, beach chairs, etc. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, new spacious refrigerator with ice maker and cold filtered water. The spacious pantry allows plenty of room for food storage for extended stays keeping your kitchen clutter-free. We have a washer/dryer combo machine; however, we've added an additional dryer to the hall closet for faster drying. (Please do not overload the washer/dryer). The two ceiling fans are not always needed because of the comfortable ocean breezes that flow through the bedroom and living room when all the windows are left open to let in that awesome ocean breeze. There is a queen-size sofa sleeper in the living room for one extra guest.
Enjoy the sparkling pool, hot tub, and well-manicured grounds with chaise lounges and tiki torches lit most evenings. Two gas BBQs and outdoor eating are available on the lawn near the BBQ area.

Around 6pm I pass through Kahului, Makawao, and end up in Haiku where the blue skies are totally hidden by dark clouds, rain, and wind.

Just a short walk down the quiet, tree-lined street from Kana'i A Nalu is Haycraft Park, which leads to miles of uninterrupted sand and surf all the way to Sugar Beach. If there is a big south swell, the wave off the harbor, "Freight Trains," can be one of the best in the world attracting expert surfers. Toward the east of Ma'alaea is a great spot for windsurfing, during both trade and Kona winds.

Bird Cage Lounge in Wailea, Maui. I recommend sunset dining pupu (appetizer) dishes and great cocktails. Live music is performed by wild Love Birds (small parrots) and the Bird Cage has 4 different varieties who nest and call this place home. Love birds mate for life. The birds here are free and call this place home. They sing at sunset. A human performer sings just as the birds settle down for the evening :)🏝🐦
