The terrible Lahaina fire destroyed a 3 square mile area of Lahaina. Maui is over 700 square miles. Our condos are located in the South Kihei area (2 miles north of Wailea). Our area was NOT impacted by the fires in any way. All stores, restaurants, beaches etc. are unaffected by the wildfires. Maui needs its tourist economy to be strong and vibrant to help rebuild Lahaina and to sustain its people. We encourage you to spread this message and to visit Maui as soon as you are able to do so to help Maui recover from the Lahaina fire disaster. Here's a link to an article by the Hawaii Tourism Authority on this topic.

On August 8, 2023, wildfires resulted in the devastating loss of loved ones, homes, cultural and historical sites, and businesses in Lahaina, located in West Maui. We extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt aloha to all those who have been affected by this tragedy. We also urge visitors through...

Maui NEEDS its tourists to visit. There are too many empty condos, lots & restaurants and rental cars sitting idle. We understand that people were concerned about the fires but over 90% of the island is unimpacted by the terrible fire that destroyed Lahina and Maui needs to keep its economy going to help rebuild and to help those who lost their homes and businesses. It is an excellent time to come here due to the low number of tourists at the moment. Plan an impromptu trip to Maui!!

We are grateful for the outpouring of support for Maui from around the world. There are local makers and businesses across Maui that are welcoming visitors in Kahului, Wailuku, Kīhei, Wailea, Mākena, Pāʻia, Makawao, and Hāna. When visiting, mālama (care for) the local community during this time.

Take this opportunity to visit Maui this month and in September and October. Several tourists have cancelled their travel plans due to the terrible fire tragedy in Lahina. The entire Maui community has rallied to support the displaced people of Lahina, however these support efforts cannot be sustained if the local tourist based economy collapses. As a result of the cancellations there are lots of available accommodations on the island (outside of the West Side of the Island) and the beaches and restaurants are sparsely populated. Come relax and enjoy the amazing natural beauty that is Maui at this important time and support the Maui recovery efforts at the same time.

In alignment with Governor Green, the Hawai‘i Tourism Authority urges visitors to refrain from going to West Maui (including Lāhainā, Nāpili, Kāʻanapali, and Kapalua) as a means of respect to the people and places that have been lost in Lāhainā during this devastating tragedy.

We encourage travelers to consider visiting other areas of Maui (including Kahului, Wailuku, Kīhei, Wailea, Mākena, Pāʻia and Hāna), or other islands such as Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi and Hawaiʻi Island.

The impacted area of Lāhainā remains off limits as the search and recovery efforts continue.
