Aloha! Remember us!? ๐
Sorry we have been absent on Social Media this past year, but 2024 was a year that we had to step back and focus on what is truly important in life, 'Ohana (family). As many of you know we are a small Mom and Daughter business that has been at Sugar Beach Resort Maui for nearly 40 years in the same location. My Mama started this business as a young woman and worked so hard to keep this business thriving. Not only did we experience our own personal hardships in 2024, but Maui has not been the same since the devasting Lahaina fires. Our communities have struggled in so many different areas. Big-time celebrities telling the media that Maui is closed and that we do not want visitors had a trickle-down effect on our economy that we were all not ready to handle.
Somehow through your support and aloha, we are still in business. If you have been debating if you should come to Maui or not this is your sign to plan a trip here. All that we as local people ask is that you are respectful of places that you visit on Maui, that you try your very best to support small local businesses, and that you come to support our hard-working people instead of just going to a big resort and only staying on property. Budget to do a few Maui activities while here as it will support so many who work on the boats, in our restaurants, and people like us, and our small business that rely on you to come to support us.
I captured this beautiful Rainbow on New Year's Day and it touched my heart. The beauty that surrounds us in Mother Nature is a reminder that there is always light/rainbows that follow the darkness/rain. May we all remember what is truly important in Life and LIVE life to the fullest every day that we are blessed to be here.
Mahalo Nui (Thank you so much) for your continued Aloha and support of Maui Sights & Treasures. Check out our website or send your family over to https://www.mauivalue.com/
