This Sunday, Jan 21, from 9-11am, I’d like to invite you to come to my Hula Halau at Kamali’i park in Kahului to help us make 200 lei at the request of Uncle Kimokeo. This is part of creating 2000 lei which will be used in a ceremony to honor Hawaiian lives lost in the Vietnam War. Kumu Kanoe is our Halau Kumu who will be teaching us how to twist the ti leaf lei and also teaching us how to chant oli lei and other oli (chants) along with Hawaiian language, history, and culture. She welcomes a $20 donation for the workshop if can. We will have the ti leaves. Bring... water, old towels or wipes, wear clothes you're OK to get a little messy.

I’m in Palm Desert, watching a beautiful sunrise, thinking of you! I came for The Zone Event Entrepreneur Conference and have not been able to leave! I’m taking some much needed time to be still and get quiet. I’m curled up with the book: Start With Why; setting the intention that something will POP! I want to head over to Desert Hot Springs and hopefully soak in some natural mineral water. Do you happen to have any recommendations there or Joshua Tree?

And just like that, Impact Travel Alliance San Diego hosted our first coalition meeting! Last night, we welcomed tour operators, bloggers, startups, hospitality organizations, non-profits, and travel agents into ITA. Looking forward to collaborating with this great group to educate travelers about our marine life, reduce ocean pollution, and develop events that can help our most vulnerable San Diego community members. Feeling energized and inspired by this community!

It’s funny how life goes in these cycles. Growing up in Arizona, I could not wait to leave and see what else the world had to offer. Now that I’ve seen the world and have lived outside of Arizona the past 10 years, I appreciate it so much more!!!

What is Metavents?
Metavents was originally designed to solve communication, planning, logistics, risk and financial problems faced by outdoor music festivals by using 3D Visualization, Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain. Imagine a real-world SimCity that you could go inside of. It was later found, these capabilities also solve problems for organizations involved in disaster management where what is required to plan, deliver and manage a refugee camp are mostly identical to that of a festival.
