Our Kihei Garden Oasis in Maui, HI is a stylish vacation rental, 4 bedroom single story house with a private fenced yard located in the heart of South Kihei near the famous Kamaole white sand beaches. It’s a short walk to all the amenities including Kalama Beach Park, many restaurants, bars, shops, and open air markets in the area, and beaches. Wonderful outdoor living area for sunning, reading a
book in the shade, connecting with family and friends, grilling, or lounging in our 6 person hot tub. Our home does not have any stairs which makes it easy for small children or others that find stairs difficult. The house includes island style furniture with a full kitchen that will delight a chef. High end cookware and kitchen tools like Henckel knives, French press, coffee grinder, a comprehensive spice rack, and a Vitamix. Make delicious Hawaiian smoothies from our fruit trees (lime, tangerine, and passion fruit) and the farmers market at the end of our street. Every bedroom has a dresser with a mirror, TV, ultra-quiet AC, and a ceiling fan. We are family friendly with everything you might need including pack and play beds, high chairs, booster seats, kids utensils and sippy cups, strollers, children’s books, movies, games, toys, Wii and Xbox, and a Washer and Dryer. You won’t miss the big game or your favorite show on the 60 inch HD TV. If you want to stay connected, our free WIFI allows you to connect anywhere in the house patio or garden. Something for everybody with this great location! Walking distance to just about everything: the Farmers Market, grocery store, coffee shops, and fantastic restaurants (23 within a 10 minute walk). Take the family to Kalama Beach Park to play tennis, hang out at the playground, enjoy a game of volleyball or basketball, go to the Skate Park, or rollerblade at the lighted outdoor skating rink. Stroll in cute little shops while trying some local shave ice. You will love Maui's most unique shopping and dining experience at Kihei Kalama Village with 14 great places to eat and over 40 vendors and boutiques. At the south side of Kalama Beach you will find Cove Park where you can take surfing lessons or try stand up paddle boarding. We are so grateful that Maui still is the beautiful island we know. Leoda’s Pie Shop re-opened in December. We are so happy that some of these gems have opened their doors again.
It’s been a while since our last update and we would like to begin with a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our guests, friends, and extended 'Ohana from across the globe. The support, kindness, generosity and aloha you’ve shown us in recent months will never be forgotten and we are forever grateful.
We would also like to announce that Leoda’s Kitchen & Pie Shop quietly reopened this morning - our team welcomed displaced Lahaina seniors from Kaunoa Senior Services Center as our first guests since August 8, with a moving Hawaiian blessing from Kahu Kapono Kamaunu to bless the land, encourage positive energy, and ask for guidance and protection as we recover and begin anew.
We have missed you all so much and can’t wait to have you back. Leoda’s is now open, seven days a week, from 10am - 6pm 💛
We have been heartbroken with the fires on Maui and the devastation in the town of Lahaina. So many lives have been lost and lives irreparably impacted. I spent some of my childhood living in Hawaii and it is such an incredible place for me. The aloha spirit is one of the things that makes it a magical place. We are so grateful that our neighbors and friends on the island are all safe. We are extremely fortunate to have a home in Maui and one that has not been impacted by the fires. We appreciate everyone that has reached out to us.

Many people have trips planned to Maui in the coming months and ask whether they should go. What I would say, today things are very difficult and I would wait a bit. But don't give up on Maui. Maui will still need tourists in the coming weeks and months to make sure their economy can survive and jobs are not lost. 80% of tax revenue comes from tourism, and it's 40% of economic activity.
Maui is still a beautiful and wonderful place that is always close to my heart.

It is great to see Maui have an organization to reduce plastics. We installed a whole house water filtration system and have been providing re-usable water bottles at the house for years ...I am really hoping other vacation rentals and guests on the island adopt this program. It makes me happy to see this and to be a part of it....we are looking forward to the next beach cleanup event!
