As the North Shore swells start to pickup in the winter in Hawaiʻi, Hoʻokipa Beach Park on Maui is a terrific spot to watch some of the island's best surfers and windsurfers.🌊

During the summer months, Hoʻokipa's pristine waters are great for snorkeling and spotting honu (turtles).

Be sure to check in with the lifeguards about ocean conditions and currents if you have any questions.

We had a great time. The unit had central air conditioning which kept everyone cool during our stay. New washer and dryer, new fluffy and clean smelling beach towels, new bed mattress and carpeting. This place was nicely maintained. Any concerns were addressed immediately. Romvari was prompt in communication from booking to departure. Good location, across from Kamole 3 beach and walking distance. No issues with parking or noise from construction. Cute decor! We had an overall comfortable amd great stay. Pool was a little underwhelming but a nice amenity to have. We spent most of our time at the beaches. Mahalo! We’ll be back again!

MISSING PERSON:

The Maui Police Department requests the public’s assistance with any information on the whereabouts of Susan Krasny (76) of Massachusetts.

Ms. Krasny was reported missing on Monday, September 9, 2024, by family members after they discovered she left her Wailea hotel room and did not return. Ms. Krasny was last seen by hotel valet staff around 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 when she picked up their rental vehicle, a silver-colored Nissan Armada bearing Hawaii license plate LLE 180, and left the property.

The vehicle was later seen near 121 Kula Highway, in Pukalani, around 6:30 p.m., heading northbound.

Ms. Krasny does not have a cell phone with her and requires the use of a mobility scooter.

Ms. Krasny is described as being Caucasian, 5-foot-7, weighs about 225 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a white-colored blouse and black-colored Capri pants as depicted in the picture.

If you know the whereabouts of Ms. Krasny, please contact the Maui Police Department’s non-emergency number at 808-244-6400; if it is an emergency, dial 911 and refer to MPD report number 24-026289.
