NC 12 is closed on the north end of Pea Island, between the Marc Basnight Bridge and the Village of Rodanthe due to sand and overwash on the road.

NC 12 on Pea Island closed due to ocean overwash. NC 12 closed from Marc Basnight Bridge to Rodanthe. NCDOT will reassess and reopen as soon as it is safe. But forecast bad weather conditions could keep NC 12 closed on Pea Island for a while.
