“I read this article with my students about this really amazing lady who lives at the Outer Banks who put up this "mailbox of hope" for everyone to stop by and write about their messages of hope or struggles they are going through.

I'm heading down there in a couple weeks, so my students are writing some messages for the mailbox, and I can't wait to deliver them.

These messages both warm my heart and break it at the same time, but I'm so glad for the mailbox which gave me the idea for this activity with my students

Meet Kent French, his wife Michelle and lovely six year old daughter Everly
from Southern California.

Kent French is a Sports broadcaster for the baseball team the Angels! # Kent_french

Kent contacted me through Instagram and was visiting the OBX with his lovely wife Michelle and daughter Everly.

He started,

“Frenchie Friends,”
during the Pandemic
to help all the small businesses in California that were struggling to survive during the lockdowns!

He is a man of Hope too!

The Manteo little red mailbox
The Manteo Mailbox a beacon of hope, was physically removed and disappeared.

All that remains is Hope & Faith.

A new little red mailbox is being painted now and shall be placed again for all those who leave a note of Hope.
