🎶🎢 “I got this feeling inside my bones”...you’re going to LOVE THIS! 🩷 A much anticipated family-friendly area at Universal Studios is now open and if the littles in your life (at least 36" tall) love the "Trolls" movie franchise, you’re in luck! 🌥️At the brand new Dreamworks Land, join Poppy, Branch and the rest of the troll pals for a ride on the Trollercoaster. What a perfect name! It’s short, sweet and just enough thrill for an introduction to roller coasters.

🛝🍦🎤There’s also a playground, sweet treats, entertainment, character meets and so much to explore throughout the land. They built this vibrant animation-comes-to-life environment with young families in mind and they definitely hit the mark! 🎯

What I love most about a smaller Disney Cruise ship is the intimate and personalized experience it offers. With fewer passengers on board, the ship feels more like a cozy, close-knit community rather than a bustling city at sea. This smaller size means it's easier and quicker to learn the layout of the ship, allowing you to get from one end to the other without feeling like you’re on an epic journey.

🫣You can stop looking, I’ve found your new Disney Springs dining hot spot! 🍽️❤️‍🔥 I’ll admit, whenever a new restaurant opens, there is a lot of hype around it-warranted or not. However, Summer House on the Lake lives up to it all!

☀️🌴🍪Picture a breezy beach house vibe, open airy spaces, an eclectic menu that caters to just about all palettes, an in-house cookie bar and an ever-present feeling of being on vacation.

I'd start with the Caramelized Brussels Sprouts. They’re roasted to perfection with balsamic vinegar and Parmigiano Reggiano, creating a rich, savory flavor that's hard to resist. The Lemon Chicken Piccata sounds incredible, especially with its light, citrusy flavors that pair beautifully with a side of roasted vegetables or pasta. Since it’s a special, I’d be sure to ask for it if available. For dessert, I’d indulge in the Warm Peanut Butter Cookie with Ice Cream. This sweet treat is the perfect end to a meal, offering that classic combination of warm cookie and cool ice cream.

🤑Who says “value” has to be a bad word?! At Universal Orlando Resort, the Prime Value hotel category features one of the raddest hotels on property: Cabana Bay Beach Resort!

🎳 Not only is the theming like something you’d see in a classic TV sitcom with retro-looking everything, but there is SO much to do here! You are paying a premium to stay on-property, whether at Universal or with our pals across town, so you might as well stay at a property with some life!

One of the grooviest features at Cabana Bay has to be the **Lazy River**! Imagine floating along under the warm Florida sun, surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, and just soaking up those retro vibes. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day at the parks or to start your day with some chill time.

**PRO TIP:** Make sure to grab a float from the rental station if you didn’t bring your own, and don’t forget to check out the waterfall features—they add a little extra splash of fun to your relaxing river journey!

Currently, you have two options when it comes to riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure:

Virtual Queue (free to join)

Lightning Lane Multi Pass (requires purchase)

It’s not an option right now to just get in line and wait to ride without a “reservation” using one of the above methods. And if you want to ride twice in one day, you’ll need to secure both a Virtual Queue AND a MultiPass selection, which can be a challenge. 😰

When it comes to snagging a spot in a virtual queue for popular attractions, strategy is everything! I’ve honed my approach to make sure my clients have the best shot at securing their spot.

First off, having the fastest fingers definitely helps, but there’s more to it than just speed. My #1 tip is to be prepared and stay off the Wi-Fi. In many cases, using cellular data tends to be faster and more reliable than relying on park or hotel Wi-Fi, which can get bogged down with so many people trying to connect at the same time.

I also always recommend pre-selecting your party before the virtual queue opens. This means making sure everyone in your group is linked in the app and ready to go, so when the queue opens, you can quickly tap to confirm your party and snag your spot without any delays.

Timing is crucial, too. I usually advise refreshing the app a few seconds before the queue opens to ensure you’re right on the dot when the join button appears. It’s like a race, and every millisecond counts!

Finally, it’s important to stay calm. It can be nerve-wracking, but taking a deep breath and keeping focused can make all the difference. With this strategy in place, you’ll have the best chance of starting your Disney day with a win!

Stepping foot onto this island paradise will likely be something you dream about from the moment you book your cruise, but don’t be in such a rush to get to your lounge chair that you miss the journey. 😍There is so much to see, soak in and experience from the moment your flip flops hit the gangway-the details are truly Disney at its finest. 📸 Look all around, take all the pictures and TURN AROUND to see the stunning view of your Disney Cruise ship in port! The morning light is perfection!

Upon arrival at Castaway Cay, I think one of the absolute must-dos is to take a moment to stop for the Disney photographer. This is your chance to capture the excitement and joy of stepping onto Disney's private island, with the stunning backdrop of the turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. These photos become cherished memories of your time on Castaway Cay, and the photographers always know the best spots to get that perfect shot.

Afterward, I recommend heading over to the Castaway Cay post office. It’s such a unique experience to send a postcard stamped with the island’s exclusive postmark—a special keepsake to remember your trip or a fun surprise for friends and family back home.

Greeting the characters as they arrive on the island is another highlight. Whether it’s Mickey, Minnie, or one of their friends, meeting them in their beachwear adds an extra layer of fun to your Castaway Cay experience. And, of course, posing at Mount Rustmore is a must for any photo-loving family. It's an iconic spot that makes for a fantastic addition to your vacation album.

🤯I don’t know who needs to hear this but, MANY Walt Disney World Resorts have...beaches! 🏖️Or at least sandy areas that kids can play on while you relax with that book you’ve been meaning to read. What’s even better is that most resort gift shops sell sand toys, how about that! 🪣 For about $15 (as of July 2024) they can play and get a fun souvenir from the trip. Win-win! 😎

🦈😳 In celebration of Shark Awareness Day, let’s shine the spotlight on one of EPCOT’s hidden gems – Bruce's Sub House at EPCOT’s SeaBase! This JAWSome playground is themed after the wanna-be friendly shark from 🐡Finding Nemo. It’s packed with interactive elements to teach kids while they play. And, it’s got a pretty epic photo op! If REAL sharks are your thing, they’re here too. 👉 This pavilion is a giant indoor educational playground, but also has plenty of space to decompress, check emails (a reality for many these days), post photos or just sit. 🧘‍♀️

⏳🤠Here’s a piece of Disneyland history that you might not have heard. Walt and Lillian Disney celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary at the Golden Horseshoe just days before the official grand opening of the park in 1955! 🎭 Through 1986, the popular Golden Horseshoe R***e stage show was performed here. (Think Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical R***e on a smaller scale.) Walt loved the wild west vaudeville show so much, he invited 300 people to attend the first official performance as part of an anniversary celebration! 😍

🍔🍟 Today, the Golden Horseshoe is a two-level quick service oasis in the heart of Frontierland serving typical theme park fare. At Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, the very similar Diamond Horsehoe is a sit-down restaurant serving the menu from Liberty Tree Tavern.

It has a SAND-BOTTOM! All the benefits of the beach, but without the saltwater. 😝

Poolside snacks and drinks from Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill mean you never have to leave-which is great because the kids won’t want to. 🍔🍹

I would love to be spending the day in that lazy river just taking everything in.

Today, Disney is thrilled to announce a new agreement with Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (OLC) that will bring year-round Disney cruise vacations to Japan! Under this exciting agreement, OLC will operate a Disney-branded cruise business in Japan, expected to begin by early 2029. This marks the latest evolution in our over 40-year relationship with OLC, the magical force behind Tokyo Disney Resort.A brand-new Disney cruise ship, to be registered and based in Japan year-round, will be constructed at Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, featuring imaginative designs by Walt Disney Imagineering. A sister ship to the popular Disney Wish, it will boast many beloved venues and experiences with special touches for Japanese guests. This 140,000 gross ton ship, powered by liquefied natural gas, will offer around 1,250 staterooms.The addition of a locally based Disney cruise ship will provide fun and relaxation for Japanese Disney fans and visitors from around the world. 📣Hey parents, listen to this! Just a little tip in case you didn’t know, there are a couple of opportunities for kids to enjoy free play (and even get wet) 💦 at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. I know the parks are giant playgrounds themselves, but there is the Casey Jr. Splash ‘N’ Soak Station, the Adventureland Tiki sprayers and spitting camel at Magic Kingdom as well as the new Journey of Water inspired by Moana and splash pads at EPCOT where getting drenched is bound to happen and be loads of fun.

🎒So maybe pack an extra set of clothes for those water play areas so you don’t have to be the meanest parents in the whole world and say NO to splashing around at Walt Disney World because you’ve got dinner reservations. 🙃 Anyone’s kids FLIP over any opportunity to get wet?

🤩🛝🐇If you only ever go down one more slide in your life, make it this one! The Oceaneer’s Club on the Disney Wish is accessible via an “Alice in Wonderland” themed slide. Here’s the catch, adults sailing on the Disney Wish, only have one chance to take advantage of sliding down the rabbit hole during the club’s Open House hours on embarkation day. So don’t hesitate if you want to channel your inner child. No worries, the stairs or elevators are always an option if slides don’t equal fun to you.

While I didn't get to slide down the slide myself, I have to say it was the BEST feature on the Wish! You can check your child into the kids club on deck 3, right off the lobby, and then they slide down straight into the club. It’s a truly magical experience for everyone involved. 😜
