Christmas 2023 is almost here and that means we are in the final days of Kingfisher Winter Nights. Although the train will no longer be running, the Kingfisher Winter Nights lights will be turned on and our gates will be open to walk or drive through the park Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We hope we have helped brighten your Christmas season and that it was as fun for you as it has been for the Kingfisher Winter Nights Board to do it for you. Thank you to everyone who helped light up the park this year and for all who volunteered or visited. Merry Christmas to all! You have 2 days left to enjoy. So whether you have frequented the park this season or haven't made it yet, don't miss your chance to come at Kingfisher Winter Nights these last 2 days!

The big trucks are back out at the park! They were here in the beginning to put up the lights and make the tree tops shine. Today, they are back out to take them all down!

What a blessing to see so many in the community help take down the lights in the park today! Thank you to everyone who took the time to pitch in; and a special thank you to Bridgett Stewart and Garrett for bringing out the Frontline Youth Group! Those kids worked hard and got a lot accomplished.

You all made a big difference today, and we appreciate every single person who came out to help!

There is still more to do if you would like to help! Just reach out to Terri Peck or a board member and you can help us get this clean up finished!

Thank you for another year of making memories at Kingfisher Winter Nights! We couldn't put on this event without all of our amazing volunteers, our generous sponsors, and all of you who came to at Christmas!

It is always a lot more fun setting up for an event than it is cleaning up afterwards; but it's all part of making it happen. Volunteers are needed to help us take down the lights so we can give the keys to the park back to the city.

If you are willing to help one afternoon, or even an hour or two, please contact Terri Peck or a board member to plan a day to come help!

Well Folks, the lights are out in the park and the 2022 season of Kingfisher Winter Nights is in the books!

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible, and to our visitors who tagged us and shared pictures from your visits. Your comments and words of encouragement meant so much!

If you're sad it's over, the good news is...there are only 335 more days left till the 2023 Kingfisher Winter Nights season!! Our dates have already been scheduled for next year. Our season will once again start the Saturday after Thanksgiving and will run thru Christmas Day. Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 25th thru Monday, December 25th (Christmas Day).

JUST 2 DAYS LEFT!!
If you haven't visited Kingfisher Winter Nights this year, you still have 2 days left! Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the park will be lit from 6-9pm for Drive-thru/Walk-thru Visitors.

The Train will not run anymore this year, but the concession stand will be open at the Train Station for visitors to purchase Hot Cocoa, Candy, Gourmet Popcorn, and Kingfisher Winter Nights Merchandise!

Remember, your donations and purchases support the maintenance of current and adding new light displays.

We hope you have enjoyed the 2022 season of Kingfisher Winter Nights and that you have a very merry Christmas!!

Thank you, Santa and Mrs. Claus! We know this is your busy season, so we were so pleased you came to Kingfisher Winter Nights for our Polar Express Night! See you again this Friday, Dec. 9th toward the back of the park!

ALL ABOARD.... POLAR EXPRESS NIGHT IS HERE!! Polar Express Night is a special event night at Kingfisher Winter Nights sponsored by OVINTIV and Kingfisher Public Schools, where we will show the movie THE POLAR EXPRESS on the field next to the train station, starting at 6:30pm. The movie is free and anyone can come. You will need to bring a chair or air mattress to sit on and we suggest you dress warm and bring blankets to keep you comfortable. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the park. *********** CHILDREN IN THE 3RD GRADE AND YOUNGER, WHO WEAR THEIR PAJAMAS can check-in at the table set up by the field (It's left of the train station if you are facing the entrance from HWY 33). Upon checking in, those children who qualify will receive a special ticket good for a FREE TRAIN RIDE and a FREE HOT CHOCOLATE from the train station concession stand! Anyone older than 3rd grade or who doesn't wear PJ's is welcome to buy a train ticket for $3 or hot chocolate for $1 at the train station. Children must get that special ticket from the check-in table and children must be accompanied by an adult on the train. These special tickets are NOT available at the train station... only at that special check-in table by the movie area/field. Santa will be available for FREE digital photos, provided courtesy of Black Gold Nutrition, and Vick's Cotton Candy will be on site with delicious cotton candy available for purchase. Including cotton candy on glow sticks. All of these activities are in the movie area of the park. But remember, the park is lit up, and you are invited to walk or drive thru the park, as well. Hope to see you THIS TUESDAY NIGHT!! The Park opens at 6pm! Gilmour Elementary students can actually start checking in at 5:30pm. Everyone else is asked to come at 6pm. See you then! Volunteers have been working to wrap presents for visitors to enjoy during Kingfisher Winter Nights. Here's a little sneak peek for you. The countdown has begun and Kingfisher Winter Nights will be before you know it!

Thank you to Mrs. Birdwell and her Practical Skills Class for volunteering at the park this week! Your contributions are sure going to brighten the holidays for a lot of people! We appreciate you!

Did you know that Kingfisher Winter Nights is organized, set up, and ran totally by volunteers? As a non profit event, we depend on a volunteer board and generous business sponsors, along with individuals and groups in the area to make this event happen. Because volunteers are so crucial to this effort, we don't take our volunteers for granted. Today, we'd like to introduce one of our volunteers- Stephanie Jackson. She, her husband, Corey and their construction crew came out today and got a lot accomplished in the park. Kingfisher Winter Nights will be here before you know it and there is still a lot to do. If you have a free hour or two and are willing to help like Stephanie and her crew, Terri Peck, who is our volunteer coordinator, will gladly put you to work.

This is the final week to visit Kingfisher Winter Nights, which means we only have a few more chances to win prizes. As always, you can still participate in the scavenger hunt, sponsored by Harrison and Mecklenburg, and turn in your form at the exit of the park to be entered in a drawing. But, we will also have a few final social media contests. Here is how to enter the first one: 1. LIKE the Kingfisher Winter Nights page. 2. POST a picture of you or your family on the Swing Bridge taken this year with the HASHTAG: #KWNswingbridge2021 3.
