BDO is located right in the heart of prime trophy whitetail country – South Central KANSAS! We offer both archery and a limited number of muzzle loader hunts in units 15 and 16. BDO hunts only the finest private land this area has to offer, some of which we have controlled for over 7 years. Our archery hunts start the first of November and run through December 31. This catches the pre-rut period t

hrough the secondary rut as well as catching some of these giants in their winter feed patterns. With over a sixty percent harvest success and an average score of 140 inches over the past seven years BDO and Kansas are just the most logical choice for your trip of a lifetime. Jim Stroud of the DR BUCK OUTDOORS TV series, had a very close encounter with a monster 180 class buck before missing a shot at a 160 inch with a drop time. Rich Kimball of Belchertown, MA, took a beautiful 148 inch 8 point buck just 15 minutes into his 5 day hunt. Steve Szymkowicz took his second Pope & Young buck just 30 minutes into his hunt! Tom Cannon of Michigan, took a beautiful 140 inch 8 pointer just 1.5 hours into the hunt with a traditional recurve. What an amazing week we have had here at BigDog outfitters hosting clients from Field of Dreams, Inc. We met two outstanding young men and were able to help them get their first white tails. We also got the pleasure of thanking a couple of our great countries veterans. This has become our favorite hunt of the year without a doubt.

Bigdog outfitters has been asked to help put together for the A-Z foundation a group of 3-4 veterans to take an action packed two day crane Nov 30 & Dec 1st hunt in NW Oklahoma with the Crane wreckers. This hunt is provided by the A-Z foundation and includes the hunt, meals and lodging. The group is only responsible for licenses and transportation. Please help out if you know a veteran that you would like to see receive this hunt in thanks for their service please let us know.
