⚠️ SCAM ALERT: FAKE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBERS TARGETING CRUISERS & TRAVELERS! ⚠️
My travel tribe, we need to talk about a scam that’s making the rounds and costing unsuspecting travelers hundreds of dollars. Scammers are buying up Google search terms and creating fake 800 numbers that appear to be the customer service lines for cruise lines, airlines, and vacation companies.
Here’s how it works:
🚢 A guest has a question about their cruise or vacation.
🔍 They do a quick Google search for “Carnival Customer Service” or “Royal Caribbean Phone Number.”
📞 They call what looks like the right number but is actually a scammer.
💸 The scammer asks the right questions to sound legitimate—then claims the guest “owes” $200-$800 before they can proceed.
💥 And just like that, money is gone.
How to Protect Yourself (and Your Clients!):
✅ Go directly to the official website of the cruise line, airline, or travel provider to find their contact number.
✅ If a rep ever asks for an immediate payment to “proceed” with your request—HANG UP. This is not how real customer service works.
✅ Book with a trusted travel advisor (like me! 😎), and we can verify any issues directly with the correct contacts.
✅ If in doubt, call your travel advisor first—we can confirm if you’re dealing with the real company or a scam.
Many well-meaning guests assume Google search results are safe—this is how scammers are cashing in.

My husband is always the first to acknowledge my achievements in the travel industry but this morning I think it really hit ME just how much I have accomplished. I consider myself a very humble person so please do not take this post as bragging as it is not my intentions to sound that way. Instead, I want to publicly Praise God because without him I would be nothing.

My career as a travel agent started in 2008. It was not easy and times I wanted to throw in the flag and surrender like during COVID when travel agents worked for countless hours without getting paid. We tended to one cancellation after the other often resulting in phone calls where we sit on hold for hours at a time. My clients however depended on me and I was determined not to let any of them down.

My passion for the cruise industry kept me pushing forward. In 2024, a team of Business Development Managers at Carnival selected 10 travel agents to represent the industry and help motivate other agents. I know that selection process could not have been an easy task. The critieria was based upon knowledge of the brand and the willingness to help others. I remember the day I received the email asking if I would like to be a 2024 TA Ambassador in a new program they were starting for Carnival Independent Travel Advisors. I think my mouth must have dropped to the floor and I was 100% speechless. It has certainly opened up some new opportunities. I think today the magnitude of it all really hit me as I was selected to serve again in 2025. The TA Carnival Ambassadors are well respected and some of the the very best agents in the industry. To be a part of that special team of 10 out of 26,600 agents is such an honor. All I can really say is, thank you God for making me humble enough in my own success that I want to see others succeed too. Thank you God for all my Blessings and the doors which have been opened in this industry and the opportunities I have to really see this beautiful world.

Next up: I will be traveling to Miami end of the month to visit the Mother Ship (aka Carnival HQ) and during that time I will have the opportunity to not only see what takes place at HQ but I will have the opportunity to meet others whom I have built online friendships with that are part of the Ambassador team. The Ambassadors will arrive one day early and dine at the famous Rusty Pelican. Part of the long weekend will be focused on additional training and learning more about Miami as a debarkation port and how you can best enjoy Miami pre or post cruise.. We will also do ship tours and lunch on the Horizon and the Celebration.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I'm in a grateful mood today, thinking about all the good stuff in my life. I've been fortunate enough to travel, make lifelong friends on cruises, and work with some amazing clients.

This morning, my adorable 5-year-old granddaughter asked me to blow off work and watch the Macy's parade with her. I mean, what's more important than that? Sometimes you just have to put everything else on hold and enjoy the blessings of family.

As many of you know, I have a deep passion for cruising, but I'm also excited to share with you my other travel passion - exploring the wonders of Europe! My first international trip to Ireland and Scotland sparked a love affair with the continent, and I have an excellent vendor for guided European tours. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed guided tours, thanks to CIE. This year we traveled with the same company to Iceland, and they delivered an exceptional experience.
