Another hidden gem we found, just over an hour from the villa, is Blue Springs State Park. Unfortunately due to Hurricane Helene and Milton there was a lot of flooding so the kayaking and the boat tours were closed .
There are lots of picnic tables, a lovely boardwalk along the river, a kids play area, fishing, swimming and even scuba diving diving are allowed.
During the winter months from November to March you can see lots of manatee. We only saw one 😊
Take a picnic and spend a fun day with the family.
Parking is $6.00 per car.

Another fun family day at Lori Wilson Park with access to Cocoa Beach just an hour and a half drive away from the villa. This park features beach access, pavilions, grills & dunes, plus a boardwalk & fishing. Great way to spend the day.

Family arrived last night and headed straight to the hot tub. Now let the fun begin.

Finally made it to the Villa late Friday night. The road trip was uneventful but the traffic was awful. Folk returning to their homes in Florida and lots of emergency response trucks either to help with electricity or temporary housing. One thing I had never seen before was a mobile laundry.

Our Villa suffered very little damage - a few shingles blown off and the worst for my husband, the TV box lost power 🤣. We were truly blessed and are so grateful.

Right now my husband and I are enjoying a bit of downtime before the rest of the family arrive on Tuesday. Then the noise level and chaos will increase exponentially 😅

Thinking of all our friends and family in Florida and praying that Hurricane Milton weakens before it makes landfall. Please be safe out there and be prepared. Stock up on drinkable water, food, flashlights, batteries and keep your phone charged if possible.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We will be arriving at the villa on Friday and do hope there is not too much damage. I will keep you updated.

Oh my gosh, where has the summer gone ! Hope you all had a wonderful summer filled with making lots of memories. Our Villa has been like a revolving door with guests coming and going. I hope you all enjoyed your stay and will come and visit again.

We will have our annual family get together in October at the Villa - total chaos with all 13 of us there, but so much fun. We will also take this time to evaluate what needs to be upgraded and what improvements need to be done.

Please if you have any ideas or suggestions we would love to hear them.

Oh what I would give to be at Caesar Falls right now ... we are in Colorado and have 22 inches of snow on the ground and it is meant to continue through out the day. I want the nice warm weather, swimming pool, hot tub and of course the aqua park. Hopefully we will make it to the house later on this year. Meanwhile this is what we have to endure.
