It’s official today, the ol’ girl is on the hard! Lots of seasonal maintenance ahead. She needs a good pressure wash, wax and paint! Then good as new!

Our hearts go out to all that were and are affected by Hurricane Helene. We are blessed to live where we do (Maine) and never want to take that for granted!

And of course if you raise boat kids, the senior pics have to be on or around the boat😂
Might have to offer senior pics on the boat next year, could become a thing! Imagine- senior pics at the isles of shoals. I might be onto something!

We have got to clean our windows😂. But got on a fairly large bluefin, then he decided to wrap himself around lobster gear. We choose not to cut gear but will haul if we have to. Which doing it by hand is impossible. And trying to reel in a fish while hand hauling… never gunna happen. Unfortunately the fish got away.. pics leading up to fish on and then hauling trap. (F/V Miles Away came to the rescue by lending us Dana to help only to lose fish moments after) Thanks to Shawn and Dana for the assist!
Love when Capt FaceTimes so I don’t feel left out 🥰

We at S and J Charters are so thankful for our followers and supporters, our repeat groups and everyone that has traveled near and far to come fish with us.
Sadly- the year is coming to an end soon. Unless we have anyone brave enough to fish in November😂. Just a few short weeks left, so if anyone is looking for ground fishing or tuna in Oct (season is closed right now for bluefin) let us know. You can also book for 2025 now.

4 hour drive from Vermont to fight a beautiful short-68”! He swam free after we took some pics in hopes to fight a monster. Our monster turned into a big thresher. All in all a great day with a cool dude who will be back next month for ground fishing.

So this group traveled from Vermont on Tuesday and camped out at our house awaiting their tuna charter today. And they got what they came for. 98” 379lbs. Fire pit, food, co****le, camping, and a tuna! Pretty good trip if you ask me!

Had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful woman and her three amazing children today. They weathered the storm with us while waiting for the tuna truck to show. Jen sent us drone footage she took. Very talented woman! Thank you Jen loncaric 🫶🏻

Capt. James calls me and says “have you ever had so much bait in the harbor that you can literally pick it up with your hands”? I said “that’s not a thing”….. guess we have enough pogies for tomorrows tuna trip🤷‍♀️

So this group traveled from Dover-foxcroft (3 hrs away) only to snap a tire off its axel… and Matt’s mind set was “we are going fishing”! Not only did they show for their charter but had to have the truck towed all the way back home.

Life gets crazy busy for us in the summah, but honey and I had no obligations tonight for a couple hours and we did us! Striper and sunshine and the sea! We didn’t catch anything but that was fine by me, just being with him was all I needed!!!

We have a winner! Dana Ribato, congrats on a 12 hour tuna charter!!!! We are continuing the raffle for a second blue fin tuna charter for the people who couldn’t get in on the first. After that we will be doing a 4 hour striper trip.
