Good morning - confidence has increased overnight in a significant winter storm for eastern North Carolina tonight into Wednesday morning. Heaviest snow is forecast east of Highway 17 where storm totals of 6-8" are expected, but the entire region will likely see measurable snow. Isolated higher amounts are possible. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for all of eastern NC.

A full briefing will be posted later this morning.
