To stay at the Grand Floridian at Christmas time is a bucket list item for me. What are so of your bucket list items for Disney? I would love to know.
🎄 Must-Do Disney Christmas: Gingerbread Houses
My non-park Disney post last week went a little crazy (!), but a common favorite activity suggestion (as well as a frequently asked question in the comments) was the resort gingerbread houses! So here’s what you need to know:
⭐️ You can find these displays at 6 resorts in Walt Disney World
⭐️ You do not have to be staying in these resorts (or even onsite!) to stop by and look at the displays
⭐️ A gingerbread tour is a great way to spend some downtime, maybe on a travel, party, or rest day
⭐️ Use Disney transportation to get to these resorts - bus to any of them from Disney Springs, or see park notes below! (Many will not allow visitors into the parking lot without a dining reservation, so Disney transportation is your best bet.)
RESORTS
🎄 Grand Floridian: The gold standard, shown in pic (walk, monorail, or boat from Magic Kingdom)
🎄 Yacht Club: Lighthouse (walk or boat from Epcot and Hollywood Studios)
🎄 Beach Club: Ducktales-themed! (walk or boat from Epcot and Hollywood Studios)
🎄 BoardWalk: Self-inspired (walk or boat from Epcot and Hollywood Studios)
🎄 Animal Kingdom Lodge: Giraffe + zebra (bus from any park, closest to Animal Kingdom)
🎄 Contemporary: Inspired by legend Mary Blair (walk or monorail from Magic Kingdom)
I love exploring the different resorts at Christmas time. They all have unique trees and decor, and they’re worth visiting on your holiday Disney vacation!
Haven’t planned your trip yet? I’d love to help. ✨
