To stay at the Grand Floridian at Christmas time is a bucket list item for me. What are so of your bucket list items for Disney? I would love to know.

🎄 Must-Do Disney Christmas: Gingerbread Houses

My non-park Disney post last week went a little crazy (!), but a common favorite activity suggestion (as well as a frequently asked question in the comments) was the resort gingerbread houses! So here’s what you need to know:

⭐️ You can find these displays at 6 resorts in Walt Disney World
⭐️ You do not have to be staying in these resorts (or even onsite!) to stop by and look at the displays
⭐️ A gingerbread tour is a great way to spend some downtime, maybe on a travel, party, or rest day
⭐️ Use Disney transportation to get to these resorts - bus to any of them from Disney Springs, or see park notes below! (Many will not allow visitors into the parking lot without a dining reservation, so Disney transportation is your best bet.)

RESORTS
🎄 Grand Floridian: The gold standard, shown in pic (walk, monorail, or boat from Magic Kingdom)
🎄 Yacht Club: Lighthouse (walk or boat from Epcot and Hollywood Studios)

Hey Y'all!

We have made it to my favorite category of all when it comes to Disney Hotels and that is the deluxe hotels. I have so many bucket list hotels in this category and I was so excited to check Contemporary off that list in May. I was able to snag a room that was discounted with my Disney credit card and I was not disappointed at all. These hotels offer the best amenities when it comes to Disney. They have amazing table service restaurants and quick service options.

The amazing hotels in this category are Polynesian, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, and the Grand Floridan.

These amazing hotels offer some pretty great transportation options; there is the monorail to Magic Kingdom, a boat ride, and the best on yet, being within walking distance of some of the parks. When you stay in a Deluxe resort you are getting the top of the line Disney experience.

Until this year, I thought Epcot was the park to skip out on but after our visit my mind changed very quickly. We spent 11 hours there and had so much fun. The Remy ride is definitely worth all the hype and no way we couldn’t mention how fun Guardians of the Galaxy is!

Hey Y'all!

Today, I wanted to discuss the moderate category when it comes to Disney hotels. There are several hotels in this category that offer some pretty amazing themes. Port Orleans-French Quarter, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans-Riverside, and Caribbean Beach Resort. The perks to these resorts are that they have sightly larger rooms than the value resorts. CBR also has the perk of the Disney Skyliner, while CS has recently been renovated and has some very pretty rooms, PO-FQ has only one bus stop so you aren't having to travel around before getting to the parks and finally PO-R has one of my must see rooms which is the royal guest room and beautiful grounds.

Hello Y'all and Happy Saturday!

Planning a Disney vacation can be very stressful but it doesn't have to be with my help. I realized while helping plan a Disney vacation for a special family that for someone new to Disney, it can be overwhelming. So I am going to make 3 posts that detail the different categories of Disney hotels. Today, I am going to start off with the value resorts.

This category includes Pop Century, Art of Animation, All Star movies & music and All Star sports. Pop Century is by far the fan favorite in my opinion because of the Skyliner. The Disney Skyliner is a great way to get from Pop Century to Epcot and Hollywood studios. The most common transportation method among most the the Disney resorts bus transportation.

Some of the best reasons to stay at a Disney resort is for the value. It is the cheapest way to stay at a Disney resort, you get to enter the park 30 minutes early, some offer skyliner transportation but all offer bus transportation to and from the parks, ample quick service food options, and amazing theming.
