Honk Honk! 📢 🚘 PARK(ing) Day returns to Gay Street on Friday, Sept 15 from 9AM–4PM! This annual event transforms curbside parking spaces into creative and interactive pop-up parks! It's a fun day with a good mission: helping people re-think the use of public spaces and encourage urban parks. We hope to see you on Gay Street for a walk in the “park!" 🌿

🚨 Sunsphere Sunday on a Tuesday? We've got good reason with a BIG announcement! We are pleased to announce that the Sunsphere will be repainted to its original PANTONE® "Classic Blue" this fall in Phase I of the plan to update and enhance the iconic structure. Phase II will see the construction of a new Sunsphere Visitors Center. The painting should be done by the end of 2023, with the Visitors Center planned for a end of 2024 completion. This project is done in partnership with the City of Knoxville - Government, the Public Building Authority, Knox County Government, East Tennessee Community Design Center, McCarty Holsaple McCarty Architects and Interior Designers, The Christman Company, and CertaPro Painters of East Tennessee. Thank you all for sharing in our excitement for a better experience for visitors and locals alike!

Join us to celebrate Independence Day at Festival on the 4th on July 4. The event will be held at World's Fair Park starting at 5pm. Enjoy music with Mikki Norwood Band from 5pm-7:45pm and Knoxville Symphony Orchestra at 8pm. This is a free event with free activities and free music with fireworks ending the event at 9:45pm. Food vendors will be onsite to purchase food. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the day with us!
Free parking is available in the 11th Street Garage and all City owned parking garages. The event is rain or shine.
