I was privileged to capture this scene presented to me, as I was hiking down Bullhead Mtn. a few years ago. It seemed fitting, to later add this often overlooked verse.

Home Adventure: My 83 year old Father -In- Law and I spent a day, splitting a "little" wood!

He's a great inspiration!
My lower back was aching a bit when we finished up about a cord worth of wood, due to my insistence that I pick up the majority of the heavy oak " rounds" weighing, 75lbs. or more, to be positioned on the splitter.

Some pieces were so large, they had to be split up as many as six times on his 22 ton splitter.
In the future, I'll try to refrain from complaining about my aches and pains, at my spry age of 66!
Especially, when I think back on my times around him, when he was trying his best to grab those massive chunks of dense, uncured oak, before I could reach them!
He did so, with nary a complaint about the aches and pains he must be enduring, but belied by his quiet solitude like manner!
He's a true treasure and example to me, of "manly grace"!

These will be warm memories for years to come, not to mention, Sherri and will stay warm and have much lower power bills as a result!
Thank you Donnie!

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Photos taken by a Mississippi River kayaker about five years before a crack was found in the Interstate 40 bridge linking Tennessee and Arkansas appear to show the fracture that led transportation officials to close the span indefinitely last week.
