It is hard to believe that it is almost the holiday season again in the Smokies! We have already had our first snow on the peaks, if you can believe that! Do your family a favor, especially for those with young children, check out the annual Polar Express Train ride in Bryson City. My family did this ride a few years ago, and it was a great experience! My latest article is below on our website. It goes into detail about this family-fun experience! If you get the chance, do it!

The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of Sevier County at midnight tonight, through 7am Sat. Rain will transition to snow in the am. Snow may accumulate .5"-2" in the valley, 2"-3" in the foothills, and up to 12" at the highest elevations of the GSMNP. Hazardous driving conditions may develop with snow accumulations. Please consider delaying travel. 4x4 vehicles may be needed in the higher elevations. Please make preparations to have supplies in the event of power outages / prolonged snow-covered rds. Cabin owners or property managers, please ensure guests are aware of this upcoming winter storm and hazards.
