Enchanted Princess 6th port stop:
Curaçao🇨🇼

We were able to get another day pass to visit Sandals Royal Curaçao resort. This is our favorite Sandals we’ve visited thus far! We loved the size and layout of the resort and the grounds are gorgeous. There’s an amazing double-level infinity pool with a swim up bar and enormous whirlpool bath. The main beach area is rocky and not suitable for swimming but has incredible views. There is another smaller beach area where the water sports are that’s super calm and protected.

The star of the show was the oceanfront bungalow I toured. Perfect for honeymooners! We definitely want to book a stay at Sandals Royal Curaçao in the future!

Enchanted Princess 5th port stop:

Bonaire🇧🇶

We rented a golf cart from Bonaire Cruisers on this stop. Their office was an easy walk from the ship and check in was super fast and easy. They gave us a map and soon we were on our way. There are two routes and we did both. The North route takes about 2.5 hours (depending on stops) and takes you through the arid, dry desert side of the island. The South route takes about 1.5 hours and take you on the tropical, beachy side.

Both routes were amazing and we stopped at multiple points along the way to see the sights. The company also gave us a recommendation for lunch which was fantastic and right on the beach. At the end of the day we got caught in a downpour while we were trying to get gas to fill the cart back up but we still had a blast! Highly recommend this activity for your day in Bonaire!

Enchanted Princess 4th port stop: Bridgetown, Barbados🇧🇧

We opted to get a day pass to the Sandals resorts on our visit to Barbados. There are two and they’re right next to each other. Very easy to go back and forth. The resort and the beach was beautiful and we had a great day!

The Enchanted Princess made its third stop at Roseau, Dominica🇩🇲
(Pronounced daa-muh-NEE-kuh)

Dominica is a mountainous Caribbean island with natural hot springs and lush tropical rainforests. You won’t find many sandy beaches here so we opted for an excursion that took us to some waterfalls and really highlighted the natural rugged beauty of the island. This ended up being one of our favorite stops!

Our Enchanted Princess 14-night Southern Caribbean cruise made its second port stop at St. Maarten - a beautiful island with both French🇫🇷 and Dutch🇳🇱 heritage. There we enjoyed an amazing catamaran sail⛵️and snorkel excursion🤿 We both definitely want to visit St. Maarten again!

Enchanted Princess 14-night Southern Caribbean Cruise🛳️

First port stop: San Juan, Puerto Rico🇵🇷

We didn’t plan an excursion in San Juan - we just wanted to walk around and explore on our own. We ended up touring two forts - Castillo de San Cristobal and Castillo San Felipe del Morro - both National Historic sites and part of the US National Parks System. There was lots of interesting history there and we enjoyed exploring the tunnels and viewing the island from high up inside the fort.

My review of our first experience on Princess Cruise Line🛳️⚓️

Enchanted Princess 14-day Southern Islander New York —> Fort Lauderdale

🛟Embarkation: Brooklyn Terminal
We arrived by Uber around 10:30 am. Dropped off all our luggage with the porter and headed to the terminal. Line was very long but moved quickly and was simple to get checked in and onto the ship. Checked into our muster station and explored a bit. Room was ready around 1 pm and we were able to get everything unpacked. Rating: A

🛏️Stateroom: We booked an inside stateroom on deck 14. The room was very spacious and well laid out. Tons of storage space for our things and room under the bed for our empty luggage. We loved the location only two decks below the pools and buffet. Rating: A

🛳️Ship Overall: Enchanted is a beautiful ship and only 4 years old. The common areas are gorgeous and even though the ship was fully booked it never felt overly crowded. There are two main pools mid ship that are fairly large as well as a smaller infinity pool aft and an adults-only pool forward. Multiple hot tubs all around. The Medallion Technology is amazing and all cruise ships should have this. You wear a tiny round disk either on a lanyard, pinned to your clothing, or on your wrist. (I ordered little holders for them that slipped onto our Apple Watches - very convenient) They unlock your stateroom door, allow you to pay for things around the ship and are your access on and off the ship in port. You can also use the app to order food or drinks from anywhere on the ship which is nice. The fitness center was very large and well equipped and stayed busy every morning. Our package included unlimited fitness classes as well and we tried both Yoga and Pure Barre. Pilates, Tai Chi and Spin were also offered. There was a nice walking track around the back half of the ship on deck 18 as well. There is a large spa which seemed very nice but we didn’t use this amenity on this cruise. Rating: A

🍽️Food & Beverage: The buffet is just that. A buffet. It’s fine but nothing remarkable. The main dining room was just ok for us. We did upgrade to the premium package so we had unlimited dining at the specialty restaurants which was delicious. The bar service was spotty. Jeremy ordered the same drink every time and it tasted different almost every time depending on who made it. Rating: B-

🎵Entertainment: This area was lacking for us but we are used to the big Broadway-type entertainment on Disney Cruise Line. There were three stage productions and we only caught one. The rest of the nights there were singers, comedians and a magician. There was plenty of live music in the Piazza and lounges which a lot of passengers loved. The typical trivia, game shows and Bingo were offered daily. The entertainment staff was fun and engaging. Rating: C

🗾Itinerary: Excellent. Loved all the ports of call and would absolutely choose this itinerary again. Rating: A+

🧑‍✈️Staff: Excellent. Very good service from everyone we encountered. Our room steward took care of everything we needed. Bar staff and servers we encountered were always friendly and helpful. Rating: A+

💬Overall thoughts: The passengers on this cruise were predominately elderly and retired. I know Princess in general draws an older crowd but I think with this particular sailing it was especially so due to the length and time of year. Most younger people with families can’t take off for two weeks in the middle of November. We spoke with several couples who were from up north and are snowbirds who use this cruise to reposition themselves to Florida for the Winter. There were very few children which was nice.

We will definitely sail with Princess again - hopefully next Summer to Alaska. Disney will always be our favorite cruise line but we also love to branch out and try new things too. It was an amazing cruise with lots of adventures and relaxation and much needed time together as a couple🩷
