Throwback Thursday! How many of you ever had the opportunity to enjoy the house-cured Gravlox at the original Waterfront Restaurant in Ma'alaea?! We miss the Waterfront and the Smith family. The hundreds of significant memories will never fade, just as all of our epic memories of Lahaina. Nothing can take that away from us!

Neighbors helping neighbors! Tours have been a tad light, so we asked our neighbor, who is currently out of work, due to the Lahaina fire. Boat work? Not. This fine lady has been testing many different skill sets this past week, from helping build rock walls to pulling terribly invasive glycine and haole Koa on one of many properties upcountry and all of Maui plagued with these nasty things!

Ulu Croutons! Hand carried ulu roasted in a umu (Samoan imu). It's so fun to play with canoe plant foods and put a palagi (Samoan for foreigner or haole) twist to it!
