-Tween the Lake Campground is open with full hook ups call 270-252-6520 and Holiday Hills Resort is Open and will have water and electric sites starting April 1.
-Lyon Drug offering DRIVE-THRU, Call ahead and they will have it ready for you 270-388-2236
-Green Turtle Bay - Marina is open for fuel and pump-out services with limited staff.

Lake Barkley Tourist Commission Festivals & Events

Over 1,000,000 POUNDS OF CARP ARE ON ICE! In Lyon County our Industrial Development Authority Board used Money from TVA funds that are designed for Economic Development only to fund a .04 cent per pound subsidy for Carp caught in Lyon County on Lake Barkley paid to selected Commercial Fishermen!
This started in July and our Hero Commercial Fishermen have pulled out 1,070,400 pounds of asian carp out of Lake Barkley in Lyon County! The payout to 7 commercial fishermen broken up by who catches the most is a total of $42,815.98. Folks this makes a difference!! Other Counties should consider doing this. Wade

Lake Barkley Tourist Commission

Congressman Comer just concluded a call with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District to discuss flood control efforts. The Cumberland River will experience elevated river levels for the next 2-3 months in order to aid water control efforts at Wolf Creek Dam. Congressman Comer and his staff continue to monitor flooding across the district.

LYON COUNTY SPAY & NEUTER VOUCHERS START DECEMBER 3! Just in time for Christmas pets! The rules to qualify - you must make less than $40,000 total household income and be a Lyon County Resident. Dogs or Cats.
To claim a voucher choose one of the participating Lyon County Vet Clinics: Williams Vet Clinic or Lyon County Animal Hospital. Go to the one of your choice and they will have the voucher! The money comes from the Lyon County Fiscal Court matching of $1,000 and a grant from the State Dept of Agriculture of $1,000. Will continue until the vouchers are gone.
This is important - please spay/neuter your pets. Thanks Wade

Lake Barkley Tourist Commission

The Orange / ORANGE-BLACK loop in the "Highlands" area is cleared and the dirt is prime! The two trails connect to make a 3.3 mile loop with a mild 260 ft of elevation. It's excellent for beginners, or super fun, fast, and flowy for anyone else. Add in the yellow for nearly another mile and a little more climbs.

Entrance located on the hill above 5/3 bank.

Volunteers are working on a new section of trail. It will eventually connect the orange trail above Difficult Hill across Hammond Creek to the existing red trail near Hammond Creek Overlook. This will add approximately 1.5 miles of new trail to the Park system, creating a giant loop around Lee S. Jones.

This first installment, 'Cemetery Hill', is already a half-mile in length. It is one of the best downhill rides in the Park with fast switchbacks and great beauty. As work progresses, more details will follow.
