A “Blue” Moon will rise on Halloween🎃

It's named not for its color, but for its rarity. About every 2.5 years, a month has two full Moons, the second called a "Blue" Moon. The U.S. hasn't had one on Halloween in all time zones since 1944. go.nasa.gov/34hp376

Look on the bright side 🌕
Tuesday’s full Moon is a SUPERMOON. Slightly bigger and brighter than usual, the Moon will be at perigee (its closest point to Earth for this orbit). It's extra special because it's the largest of the year. Skygazing tips: go.nasa.gov/3e13z4g

Look who came!
Keri Bean,a systems engineer at JPL, built this R2D2. Follow her on social media.
Behind R2D2 is a sample display of our books by topic. Before InSight landing earlier this year, we asked JPLers to send in their Haiku on Mars, those are on display, too.
Typical for engineers, not only do they admire R2D2, they want to look “under the hood”.
