I wasn't sure how I might find Dubrovnik in 2024, as I hadn't been there since right before Covid. While always "the Pearl of the Adriatic", as it's rightfully called, I discovered two really great improvements from 2019 to October 2024:

1) The Old Town has severely limited the number of cruise ships it allows to dock there each day. While I'm a huge fan of cruising, I'm also a firm believer in doing so responsibly and sustainably. Gone were the wall of shore excursionists shuffling toward us, like last time. Instead, my travel pal Diane and I had the city at our disposal.

2) October weather in Dubrovnik was PERFECT (in spite of a little rain). The stone pavement of the Old Town gets HOT in the summer heat, but in the fall, it was still warm enough to sit at the pool and outside at night, but perfectly cool and comfortable to explore the town and its surroundings during the day.

Croatia is THE PLACE TO BE in 2025 - in the last week, I've have FIVE requests for this stunning destination. Let me send you to this gorgeous city and warm, welcoming country! The Royal Journey Travel Group

Where in the world are Royal Journey travelers? CROATIA!

You can start in the capital of Zagreb OR you can do like these clients did and start in VENICE, to also include a few days there, as well as some time en route to Croatia in SLOVENIA! These active travelers toured Croatia north to south, which is how yours truly also likes to "do" Croatia!
