Last night, Pulp V***n performed a '90s music tribute at Portola Park, which included a hula hoop contest and other activities. The Children's Museum Mobile Museum also was there, and the Museum was open until 8:30 p.m. Don't miss next week's concert on July 25th, which will feature country music performed by the Kelly Boyz Band.

Last night, one of our team members was awarded the Part-Time Rookie of the Year Award at the City of La Habra’s Employee Awards Banquet, celebrating service awards and outstanding achievements from 2023! We are proud to announce, our very own ANTHONY WENDLER was awarded the Part-Time Rookie of the Year Award!

Anthony joined the Recreation Division in 2023 where he has consistently demonstrated an exceptional level of dedication to helping customers/clients and finding solutions, within reason, to their problems!

Anthony consistently goes above & beyond to assist customers of the La Habra Community Center and puts everything aside when he arrives to work, making the community/customers his number one priority. Anthony is always willing to help where needed, and works without complaint, bringing forward a very positive attitude.

Anthony’s exceptional customer service skills has earned hm praise from many customers, and his dedication to finding solutions, and unwavering support for both customers and team members make him the 2023 Part-Time Rookie of the Year. Congratulations, Anthony!

There is still time to sign up your 4-12-year-old for a fun night out at our Kids Night Out Luau event, tomorrow, June 14th, 6:00-10:30 p.m. The event will include dinner, snacks, games, crafts, and a movie, all for $25 per child. Today was our first SPLASHtivity for 2024! We enjoyed water balloons, water relays, crafts, and games at Brio Park. Tomorrow, stop by the Oeste Splash Zone from 11am to 3pm to visit our friends from the for the next FREE Splashtivity!
Splashtivities will be held every Saturday and Sunday in June!

Welcome to our JUNE month of Splash Zone SPLASHTIVITIES. These free, fun, drop-in activities will take place at the splash zones on Saturdays and Sundays, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Our first events will take place this Saturday at Brio Park, where you can "Splash into Summer", and on Sunday, where you can play with and learn about "Water Pipelines" with Children's Museum staff. Good news! 4th of July Celebration wristbands are available for purchase at the La Habra Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Blvd., Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Cost is $4 for ages 3-12 years and $6 for ages 13+ years. Children under 3 are free. Wristbands must be purchased in person. Please contact the Community Center at 562-383- 4200 for more information.

The Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at the La Habra Community Center. Besides saving lives, all donors get a $10 Gift Card and a coupon for Sport-Clips-Haircuts! Plus a chance to win a VIP trip to NASCAR at Darlington Raceway! In addition, a pair of Knott's Berry Farm tickets will be raffled at the end of the blood drive.
