We've had lots of inquiries about cruising during this pandemic. Cruise lines are obligated to have at least 95% of the guests and crew vaccinated against COVID-19 at this time, and have put into place enhanced cleaning and safety protocols to help combat the spread of the virus. Cruise ships also have quarantine and isolation areas of the ship, just in case a person gets infected. Think about this in comparison to other forms of transportation. It's a safer mode of transportation than most others. FYI, the CDC has lowered its warning level for cruises as well (see http://broadcast05.travmarket.com/link.php?M=1341401&N=4685&L=41548&F=H). Hello everyone! Margie here, giving you an update on the status of travel. Yes, you can travel, both within and outside of the U.S.A. right now! The travel industry has been very busy with enhancing health and safety protocols at airports, on airplanes, at hotels, on cruise ships and trains, etc., so that you can enjoy a vacation. If traveling anytime soon, you will likely have to be tested for COVID-19 just prior to departure (for both U.S. and international travel) or both departure and return (for international travel). While cruise ships aren't yet sailing from the U.S., departures are available for reservation for 2021, 2022, and early 2023 for most cruise lines! Let us know where you're dreaming of vacationing! Where can you travel as a U.S. citizen in these days of COVID-19? Some countries are opening up again (subject to change, of course). We've recently sent clients to Jamaica, and they've had a great time. Mexico is also open (as long as you're flying in and not driving in). Costa Rica is also opening up to residents of certain states (Maryland and DC included). For Jamaica and Costa Rica, you would need to get a COVID-19 negative test result and fill out a questionnaire prior to departure. Please let us know if you're interested in traveling to any of these places, and we'll be happy to let you know the requirements for the dates you wish to travel, as they become available.

To our loyal clients and friends, we ask you to please read the information below about proposed legislation that would broaden the services that are taxed in the state of Maryland, to include travel agencies. In our 30 years in business, we have not charged a consultation fee, and have not raised our ticketing fee for 18 years. If this legislation passes, we will have no choice but to consider either charging a consultation fee or raising our ticketing fee, or both. Please take action and urge the Democratic leadership in the Maryland General Assembly to vote NO on this legislation. Thank you!
