Welcome to our La Quinta home.

We were excited you chose to stay with us.
On the following pages you'll find some rules and some important information regarding the stay.

You'll also find some neighboring restaurants and services that we might recommend.

The Key
The key found in the key box will take you through the front door. Please remember the code and replace the key when you leave. The laundry area is equipped with a few tide pods and some bounce sheets. Pool towels are located near the half bath in the cupboards. The kitchen should be stocked with adequate pots pans silverware and a few spices. Feel free to use anything you find in the pantry.

Air Conditioning.
During the hot summer days it is difficult to get the air conditioning to come down more than 20 degrees lower than the outside air temperature in the desert. If you try to force it down below 80 degrees on a hot day you might find that it will freeze up and fail. This is very common in the desert. So if you need it cool to sleep wait for the evening to bring it down below 80 again being aware of the outside temperature.

The golf course
The course is a private members only course. If you were found on the course you will be warned once and then ejected from the neighborhood. It is often tempting to walk out and view the goats or the course. Please be cognizant of players and flying golf balls.

Wind!!
In the desert, the wind blows strong through the patio areas. The awning can be damaged if it's extended during a strong wind. The umbrellas can fly away. Please bring in the awning and crank down the umbrellas if the wind kicks up. Cushions can also take flight during a windstorm. These wind storms often bring dust and dirt to the back patio there is a blower and a broom in the garage as well of this the two hoses that can be used to sq**rt that off

Mountain Goats
Mountain Goats roam the hillside inn and the golf course. In order to keep them from eating the flowers and out of the pool we have constructed a fishing line fence. If you release it using one of the clips please re clip it before leaving the property

Pool and Spa
Pool heat is extremely expensive. Average rental of a pool in the desert is $150 per day. We charge $125 per day to heat the pool or $500 per week. If you'd like the pool or spa heated please arrange the schedule with me in advance so that I can program it into the into the heater.
There is a heated pool across the street and a heated spa. You are welcome to use those at your leisure.

Fire bowls
The fire bowls are controlled by a valve on the South West corner of the property. The valve closest to the golf course controls the two fire bowls on the side of the pool. The valve closest to the barbeque controls the fire bowl in the seating area

outdoor TV
The outdoor TV is controlled through the cabinet in the master bedroom. There is an infrared eye that is directed outside but often comes detached with the wind. So if you're having trouble changing channels please go inside.

Golf Cart
The golf cart can be rented for an extra fee. You must show that you have liability covered for the use of a golf cart on your insurance

Bikes
The bikes can be rented for $15 per stay per bike. The electric bikes are not for rent. Pedego in Old Town La Quinta is a great resource to rent Electric Bikes.

Old Town La Quinta and Area information
Old Town La Quinta is located 4 miles away. To get there, Proceed out the Palmer gate to the north, At the roundabout (avenue 52) take the third exit (making a left hand turn) Proceed to where you see the fire station (Desert Club Dr.) and take a right. Old Town La Quinta hosts many shops and restaurants as well as a great Saturday market. Stuffed and tequilas are two of our favorites. Arnold palmers located as you come in is a nice evening dining experience. If you're looking for something special try lavender Bistro. Out off of Hwy 111, there are several restaurants and stores. Costco can be found near the corner of Hwy 111 and Jefferson. There is also a Walmart near that intersection and they burgers and brew which is an awesome location to watch any football game. Near the corner of Washington and Hwy 111 there is a restaurant called the Beer Hunter where you can find most sports games. If you drive Hwy 111 to the West you will find several desert cities and the famed El Paseo. “The Rodeo Drive of the desert”. Ralphs on Jefferson is a member of the Kroger family.
