NCYC member, Kyle Gladieux, reported our own Matt Schaedler's Team Blitzkrieg Sailing competed in the SORC 's Wirth M. Monroe Race, yesterday. The race begins in Miami and ends in Palm Beach.

Our fleet of J80s is safe and secure for the off-season. After the team placed them in this location, North Cape Yacht Club members George Sipel and Doug Haskell provided the materials, expertise, and energy to shrink-wrap our boats.

Thanks to all who maintain these J80s, and to those who serve as leaders and instructors, to make our Adult Learn to Sail program a success!

In this time of thankfulness, the NCSS Board of Trustees would like to thank Doug Isaacson, Bill Gerst, Don Heller, Rick Logan, and Bob Bradley. These North Cape Yacht Club members teamed up to haul out our fleet of J80s from the water this fall, derig them, clean them up, unload the gear, and place them in storage near the entry to NCYC. This fleet is used each season for North Cape's Adult Learn to Sail program.

NCYC member Josh Kerst competed in the Sunfish World Championships at Rush Creek Yacht Club in Heath, TX last week.

Josh finished 2nd in the Masters Class, matching his best-ever finish. Josh was 24th overall in the 105-boat competition.

Congratulations, Josh! You made NCYC proud.

NCYC hosted its annual New Members Reception in its waterfront clubhouse yesterday to welcome 31 new members. The event included an appetizer, slider, and dessert buffet provided by club members, plenty of conversation and smiles, and enjoyable background music by club member Ray Parker and his friends.
