We had an absolutely amazing time at this year’s North American Honey Bee Expo! If you’re a beekeeper and have never been you are definitely going to want to check it out in 2026! The experience just gets better every year!

There were so many highlights it hard to pick a favorite moment, but here are a few of my favorites! 1. Marianne and Larry Siers gifting us one of their beautiful cutting boards. 2. Natures Image Farms making one of their custom boxes for us. 3. Hosting and attending the No Life Beekeepers dinner and finally meeting so many No Lifers in person. 4. Winning a few more ribbons to add to our collection. 5. Being involved in presenting a check to Hives for Heroes from the No Life Beekeepers Raffle. 6. Catching up with old friends. 7. Staying up late with other beekeepers in the hotel lobby tasting honey that was gifted to us. 8. Having a delicious dinner with the StL group. 9. JW breaking out in dance when they sang him Happy Birthday at that dinner. And 10. Being blessed enough to be able to take this trip and have all of these unforgettable experiences and more!

Have you ever entered a honey show or wanted to, or thought about becoming a honey judge? This class is a must if you’ve answered yes to any of those questions. The American Honey Show Training Council will be holding a one day class the day before the Eastern Missouri Beekeepers Association’s annual workshop in Sunset Hills. This is a great class Tom and I attended earlier this past Fall. Even if you have no interest in becoming a Honey Judge, the education you will gain on how to prepare your items for a honey show is invaluable.
