Lafayette regional airport alert 🧳

Transportation Security Administration screening equipment that scans checked bags at Lafayette Regional Airport (LFT) is being repaired following an equipment failure.

As a result, all checked bags must be scanned by hand, which may cause delays in the screening process. Passengers who intend to check bags are asked to arrive two hours before their flight to allow sufficient time for TSA personnel to screen checked bags. Carry-on luggage is not affected.

Repairs to the TSA equipment may take as long as 30 days to complete, officials say.

Job Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated and sales-minded Commissioned Advisor who is proficient in
the Sabre airline system to join our team. The perfect candidate should have a passion for travel,
excellent sales skills, and a positive attitude. As a Commissioned Advisor, you will collaborate
with clients to determine their travel needs, advise on appropriate destinations, modes of
transportation, travel dates, accommodations, and costs. You will also design detailed itineraries,
utilize Sabre to book transportation, make hotel reservations, and collect payments and fees.
Additionally, you will attend travel seminars to remain up to date with tourism trends and enter
and maintain data in ClientBase.
Responsibilities:
1. Sell tours, cruises, travel packages, customized international programs, insurance, and
other travel services.
2. Collaborate with clients to determine their travel needs and advise on appropriate
destinations, modes of transportation, travel dates, accommodations, and costs.
3. Design detailed itineraries.
4. Utilize Sabre to book transportation, make hotel reservations, and collect payments and
fees.

WOW – Just learned that is now offering journeys with the train throughout Eastern Europe and Russia. You can pair it with one of their European river journeys on one of their ships and then hop on the train and explore parts of Europe that you couldn’t get to by cruise.

The last stop on my trip as up in Kidepo Valley National Park. We stayed at where I literally woke up with lions roaring under my raised lodge. This rugged savannah is just across a mountain range from the Masi Mari in Kenya – so think of it as the Mara with no people.

This was the perfect way to end this trip. Seeing giraffes and warthogs drinking at the watering hole nearby while we were having lunch was a very special moment.

The next stop on my journey through was at in National Park. As a kid, learning about the always seemed so exotic. Here I was, sleeping in a room on her banks. It was a really special moment.

We also had the opportunity to visit the falls by both boat and our pilot, Justin, gave us a birds eye view.

After we left Bwindi, we headed to and checked into .safaris – Kyambura Lodge. We used this as a base to spend time with the Dr. Ludwig at – learning about the protections of the big cats in the wild. We also had time to check out the chimpanzees in the area and view the wildlife along the banks of the Kazinga Channel.

There is so much to do in Queen Elizabeth.
