Private Jets and Corporate Aviation - the link that never fails.
The years 2020 and 2021 have been very challenging years for aviation in many sectors while some sectors such as the cargo industry have blossomed during this time. Due to the shipping and logistics crisis, coupled to the continued reduction of passenger flights, the cargo haulers will continue doing so as the world's logistic issues seem to not find a way out of their current dilemma. Naturally, we all know, have seen and have felt how the passenger environment has been affected and everyone is watching with bated breath in the hope that people will once again be able to fly from one country to the other for the cost of a Happy Meal.
Aviation is the "Great Connector" which has shrunk our planet and made the corners of the globe accessible to all. While this is a fact, it is also a fact that 2022 has pulled its own unique stunts by starting with its own surprises such as the current closure of a truly large part of the Northern Hemisphere to most air traffic due to contested politics, terrains and skies. This turn of events has once again impeded the "Great Connector" in a very large part of a continent which had become accustomed to ever increasing travel for both business and pleasure.
This new development in 2022 means that those who look towards the skies for travel, are facing yet another shake-up of the industry as the "new issues" are promising longer flights from East to West and West to East while also being plagued by ever rising energy costs.
Yet, even though all of the above is happening, a brief study quickly illustrates that high net-worth individuals as well as top tier business people, still benefit from the use of Corporate Aviation or as some call this sector, the Private Jet Sector. This is partly due to the reduction of numerous regular flights and the slow return to the bustling 90's which have caused longer intervals between flights, as well as the need in many cases to fly via a connecting hub instead of direct. This put simply, is equal to "more business time lost". Time lost in business is always felt in the form of "money" and this loss is often curbed by flying direct, on one's own itinerary and schedule as well as being able to optimize the trip by either being able to work efficiently during transit or being able to rest adequately.
The good old faithful business jet or corporate charter is once again proving its worth to a fast moving group of people for whom time truly is money and for whom safety and security are based on an actual outcome and not on how cheap the ticket was.
It's 2022, perhaps 2023 might have even more interesting surprises...who knows? The world cannot stand still and it is yet again corporate aviation which will allow the movers and the shakers to continue letting the world turn as it should.
