Please exercise caution today as the high surf warning is impacting many snorkeling beaches, especially those along the northwest and west-facing shores. Additionally, a residual swell is affecting the south shore.

Northwest: 0.0

Extremely dangerous ocean conditions in the northwest today with a high surf warning in place, the northwest zone is not recommended today due to an extra-large swell, making water entry extremely hazardous. Strong currents, undertow, and significant shore break are present in the area. It is highly advised to avoid this zone.

Ka’anapali: 1.5

There are still numerous hazards throughout Kaʻanapali. A large swell is creating significant shore break, making ocean entry and exit challenging in many locations. Strong currents, undertow, and breaking waves are also present in deeper waters, especially near the tip of Black Rock.

South Shore: 1.0

The south shore is also experiencing elevated surf, making ocean entry and exit challenging due to larger shore break. Please be mindful before heading out, as this shore break can also impact visibility. Even when conditions seem calm between swells, waves arrive in sets with occasional larger waves. Always observe the ocean carefully and use caution when deciding whether to go in.

MKVB247 Bright, beachy updated condo! Steps away from one of Maui's most gorgeous beaches! Central A/C ! Banyan 247 is located at Maui Kaanapali Villas, close to everything without the crowds! This resort is beautiful, chill, low density with gorgeous grounds and tons of Aloha Spirit! This condo is a newly renovated studio sleeps 4, with vaulted ceilings, large lanai with a peek a boo ocean view, beautiful lighting, bright and cheery updated kitchen stocked with everything you need. New plank flooring, new sofa and chair, plush king sized bed, brand new queen sofa sleeper, large smart tv, dining options inside or out on the newly tiled lanai. Kitchen has new cabinets and full sized appliances and quartz countertops. Bathroom has a shower over tub, with a new walk in shower 9/24. Located in the Banyan Building, just a 5 min walk to the most beautiful long sandy beach. Reef for snorkeling is a short walk. Large grassy beachfront area with loungers and 2 resort pools and spas. Beachfront On-site Castaway Cafe is wonderful! Shuffleboard, corn hole, rental shack has SUP, kayak and loungers + more! New equipment in the fitness center, clean, well lit gas bbq's and coin laundry. We are located on the 2nd floor, stair access only. Beach walk access, free trolley access daily to Whaler's Village and Kaanapali area. You will want to return year after year! Resort collects $25 + tax for parking for 1 vehicle, wi-fi, fitness center and unlimited local calls. Unlimited pool towels. Walk to Black Rock or hop on the open air free shuttle. Luau close by.
