Soon our repaired (from water leaks) unit will be back up and renting! We will have many upgrades, A/C and fans both so you can enjoy Maui weather your way, and a new fresh look! But the amazing view and cozy ambiance remains the same. We are looking forward to welcome guests again in 2025! Information on the current Bill against Short Term Rentals on Maui. Kulakane's zoning is not A1 or A2 - which are the teo zones being targeted by the county. Currently, this means, that even though we are on what is known as the Minatoya List which you may hear about, we are not impacted by this Bill at this time. Our unit remains closed due to interior damage, but we will keep you posted on both the Bill and how it affects Maui, and also about our own reopening. Please vote to support the short term rentals on Maui! So far, Kulakane is not affected but over 7000 other owners are and we want to share our support of them!

If you would like to submit testimony opposing the phasing out of up to 7000 legal short term rentals on Maui - the Maui Planning Commission is accepting testimony through Noon Hawaii time Monday June 24. We, and all short term rental owners, would appreciate you support.

It won't be long now until the Humpbacks arrive back to Maui waters! Pacific Whale Foundation is always our "go to" whale watch and snorkel company. They leave from Maalaea harbor.

In June, we had to close our doors due to interior damage. We are working hard to be re-opened again by mid-December to welcome holiday guests and start 2024 off with a new look!
