Love Maui and its turtles at sunset. Counted 25 coming in tonight to rest. Amazing🌴🐢🌺

We are still here with beautiful weather, world class beaches and relaxing sunsets.

Maui welcomes respectful visitors that are sensitive to Maui and its
locals during this time.

Governor Green now recommends opening West Maui to visitors on October 8, although many properties are accepting visitors now.

At Noelani Condominiums, power was restored 4-5 days after the fire. The internet and cable were restored on August 29.

Many businesses in our area are open, including grocery stores and restaurants. Some restaurants and shops in The Whaler Village have been open and the rest of them are expected to open this week.

When is it ok to visit Maui? Attached is a great article and press conference by the Governor and Mayor that discusses the fact that Maui is open for business and needs visitors to help the economy of Maui. Kihei and Wailea are open for business. West Maui timeline:
August - Please cancel visits.
September - Wait and see.
October - Please do not cancel reservations.

Whether you like it or not, tourism is the main engine of our Maui economy. Visitors will need to come back for us to survive financially.

We are currently on the Mainland and keeping abreast of the fires, electrical outages and mayhem on Maui. Our hearts go out to our associates, friends and family on the island. Such devastation is unbelievable and gut wrenching.

Noelani is okay, along with the people we know on the island, but they have been affected in many ways by this disaster. They are in stunned disbelief.

A heartfelt mahalo to those that have reached out and those that have thought of us and Maui, an island so many have such fond memories of and love.

Many prayers and much love to all who have been affected, and much gratitude, respect, and thanks to our firefighters, first responders, medical and community teams.

In time, may all heal. 💔
