A best kept secret since the early 1900’s when a Traverse City Furrier built the original cottage. In the 1920’s it was a secret place for Al Capone. Capone’s men guarded the 3/4 mile drive to insure his privacy. It has managed to remain
hidden from the masses, maintaining its secluded appeal adjoining thousands of acres of State Forest. It is one of only three cottages along a half mile of shoreline. It’s ideal for family vacations or for a peaceful retreat. Relax here… on the waterfront of Lake Ann in the casual ambiance of nature. The Cottage features two baths, four bedrooms, beds for 8, living room with big screen in entertainment cabinet. dining area, kitchen, fireplace, screened porch, fully-equipped kitchen, laundry closet with washer/dryer. An old fashioned general store is one mile away for all your needs, the Lake Ann Grocery. The Lakefront features patio, deck area, docks, fire ring and outdoor shower. The main patio has an old stone fireplace with a wood fired grill, prep area and dining. The patio is wrapped with fragrant lavender. Canoe, rowboat, sailboat and kayak are available for your use. Docks have ladders and we enjoy swimming laps to our raft and back. The woodpeckers, the loons calling and chatter of squirrels are our noisy neighbors.
