Last year, COVID forced us to change our Christmas plans and spend it at our lake house.

We decided then that we will hold Little Blue Haven for ourselves every Christmas to come.

So happy to be spending a few days baking, sipping mimosas, sitting by the cozy fire, and exchanging gifts together, here, just the two of us.

So often, we run up to take care of things around the house for future guests. Last weekend, my mom and her nursing school roommates spent the weekend at our lake house. Finally, Terry and I blocked a weekend for ourselves and when we got here, these gifts were waiting for us from my mom and her friends. ❤️

My grandmother gave this set to me.

I grew up on a lake, about a mile from my grandparents’ house. When I was 26, we sold that childhood home. The day I packed up my childhood bedroom, I cried. I looked at Terry and said “I hope we can have a lake house of our own one day.”

And now, we do. And I have a piece of my grandparents’ lake house with us at Little Blue Haven.

It’s our 5 year wedding anniversary today.

Many people don’t know that we had to move our wedding from North Carolina to Philly in only 3 days because of a hurricane. We were determined to get married, no matter the obstacle.

The past 5 years have been such an adventure, including the renovation of our primary home while also closing on our lake house, Little Blue Haven.
