I don't usually do posts like this but today was especially tough. We had to say goodbye to Stella. She was a very unique little dog. I always called her my "puppy angel". She had many issues from the day she was born until she passed at age 11 but she was always happy had a smile on her face despite her challenges. Even though she was a Siberian Husky she never was a sled dog due to her neurological problems. We put her in harness with a small team back in 2016 and, well, lets just say it didn't go so well. She became our full time mascot and couch warmer.

Anyone that ever met her will remember her as the dog that spins in counter-clockwise circles.

I will be forever grateful to the other dogs in our pack for accepting her and helping her through life and she will be dearly missed. 💞

The dogs seem to adapting just fine to the retired life. Better than me!
Putting out feelers to see if we can find someone who might be interested in staying at our place and hanging out with the gang for times that we are away. Free lodging in Lake Elmore, the self proclaimed "beauty spot" of Vermont! Some weekends and possibly some week long stays. Great chance to spend time with an amazing pack of Siberians.

Seems so strange to not be gearing up for a season of tours this year. Quite a change after 16 years.

Tomorrow is the big day! Couple of notes. Please don't bring your dogs here. Our gang is not used to strange dogs. Also if you are bringing food that needs refrigeration please bring a cooler. Our refrigerator is quite small and there isn't much room in it. Thanks and hope to see you tomorrow!

Bring your own chair if you like; just make sure it's one you don't mind the boys peeing on! We have some chairs that live in the dog yard.
