We are thrilled to give you a sneak peek of our exciting new vacation rental project! 🎉 Our team is starting from scratch to design a perfect getaway for today’s vacationers.

✨This project includes combining 4 lots, completely overhauling 4 cabins, and adding a main lodge with an outdoor oasis. It will be able to sleep up to 30 people!✨

Our goal for this project? To create a space where multi-generational families and groups of friends can come together, recreate nostalgic cabin life memories, mingle effortlessly, and truly be present in the moment. Stay tuned as we get started! 🏡✨

☀️ While earlier than usual, the tell tale signs of spring have arrived. 🌷 The green of tulip leaves piercing through the dark, damp soil. In the middle of the lake, the water gently rippling until it fades beneath the lingering thin sheets of ice. The shoreline, ever so softly crackling, showing off its final breaths of winter. The piers lined up, anxiously awaiting their return to the beloved water. And of course, there's the air—brisk, causing noses to run, yet when the sun shines on you, there's a fleeting moment—one where discomfort yields to comfort, where all worries fade away, and you find yourself fully present in the moment, embraced by spring and what's to come.

Step inside The Northshore Hideaway townhomes and let's journey back to where it all began! 🏡✨ Though we've been open for over a year now, we're taking a moment to reflect on that special year filled with love, the hum of construction, countless hours of research, and meticulous planning that breathed life into our vacation rental dream.

Embarking on construction amidst the challenges of Covid—supply chain delays, labor shortages, and unforeseen hurdles—was far from ideal. But through it all, we never lost sight of our ultimate goal: creating a genuine 'home away from home' for our guests.

Our journey unfolded in phases. We began by opening a single unit, extending invitations to friends and family to stay, requesting every bit of feedback in return.
This helped us refine the details and work out any kinks before launching (a big 'thank you' to those who played a part).

After our initial launch, we introduced three units on popular vacation rental platforms like Airbnb and VRBO. We continued to immerse ourselves in the intricacies of property management, from the operations to the behind-the-scenes 'flipping' process, backend systems, communications, and guest experience. Once we felt our team was in a groove and working like a well oiled (and loved) machine, we put the remaining 3 units up.

🌟 It's been a journey of growth, learning, and, most importantly, a lot of fun.

We can't wait to welcome you to your 'home away from home' at The Northshore Hideaway. 🌅

The beginning of our story as Nomad began with a bold transformation—the complete renovation and launch of The Northshore Hideaway townhomes in Lake Geneva. 🏡✨

Six units, each offering 2-3 bedrooms, all within walking distance of the lake, beach, nature conservatory, restaurants, and more.

The phrase 'Stay Awhile' naturally became our tagline and motto, reflecting our commitment to making your travels stress-free, evoking the warmth of home, and enticing you to linger, creating cherished memories of your own.

Lake Life isn't limited to just the summertime; it's a year-round treasure. What many don't realize is that Lake Geneva summers often extend well into September and October. The summer crowd may begin to fade but the laughter and joy of summertime fun sticks around.

But even as the summer warmth begins to cool, the lake captures you back with its cozy blanket of autumn goodness. The shoreline becomes a gallery of colors with trees in vibrant shades of reds, oranges, and golden yellows. The air carries a crispness perfect for apple picking, pumpkin patches, fresh farmed corn, cider tasting, and more. And the evenings are filled with a canvas of colors, reflecting off the quiet lake. At night people still gather, under the clear sky light often by a crackling fire pit with s'mores and drinks in sight.

There are many other happenings too: Oktoberfest, fall fest, antique & classic boat show, halloween brew walk, just to name a few!

Ah, yes summer at the lake. It is undoubtedly the season no one wants to ever end. Days filled with boundless activities jumping in and out of the water, from pool to pool, beach to beach, boat to boat. It's about letting loose, going with the flow, creating new adventures, and cherishing the freedom with the ones you love. The air is filled with live music on the patios, drinks by the water, and town activities week after week. It's the season that is so easy to fall in love with but it's not the only season that gives you the perfect escape.

As the lake begins to thaw, the deep blue-green reflections and the earthy brown tones of the surroundings gradually fade. A sense of anticipation sweeps over the town, transforming the serene beauty of winter's stillness into a blossoming of joy. Nature's creatures return, the days stretch longer, the sun radiates warmth. As you step outside, the fragrance of spring wraps around you like a warm embrace from your favorite relative.

The tranquil waters come alive with the return of piers after their winter hibernation, and the dusting off of summer gear begins. What some might think of as summertime activities often kickstart in spring at the lake.

Dressed in layers and prepared for the chill of the morning but the warmth of the midday sun, people are out strolling along the beach, teeing up for a round of golf, and exploring the wonders of nature. With piers back in place, boats shed their winter coats and rejoin the lake's resting places. Trees and flowers sprout along the shoreline, and the colors of summer slowly resurface, promising warmer days ahead.

Winter at the lake is pure magic. With the first snowfall everyone exclaims, 'Winter is here.' Fluffy flakes blanket the branches and dust the ground, creating a scene reminiscent of a snow globe. The once gently rocking waters gradually become still as ice crystals form, freezing in time for various winter activities.

The now-barren trees showcase the shoreline's houses in their full depth, allowing sunlight to filter through the branches' gaps.

Lights begin to twinkle, ice skaters gracefully glide, and winter activities come to life. Winter here is all about embracing the outdoor beauty and then cozying up at night. From the satisfying crunch of snow under your feet during walks outside to skiing, tubing, sledding, and ice fishing, there's something for everyone.

The best part is that the town doesn't hibernate. Numerous festivities await your enjoyment including holiday parades, cruising with Santa, the national ice sculpting, winter realms, and plenty of igloos for dining. Bundle up and immerse yourself in the magic of water as you sip some spiked cider or hot cocoa by the fire.

The lake has been a source of cherished memories for each of us, both in the past and present.
