PRESS RELEASE:

Fifteen years ago, the Town of Sylva, Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce teamed up to create the Concerts on the Creek music series at Bridge Park in Sylva.

The 15th annual season will start on Friday, May 24 (Memorial Day weekend) and end on Friday, Aug. 30 (Labor Day weekend). That will be 15 Fridays of Concerts on the Creek, with the Fireworks Festivities and concert on Thursday, July 4 sprinkled in for good measure. These events are held every Friday from 7-9 p.m.
Here is the 2024 schedule:

Friday, May 24: TLQ+2, classic rock covers (7-9 p.m.)
Friday, May 31: Southern Vantage, classic rock and country hits (7-9 p.m.)
Friday, June 7: Flashback Band, classic rock hits from the 80s and more (7-9 p.m.)
Friday, June 14: Whiskey Mountain Band, classic rock and country favorites (7-9 p.m.)
Friday, June 21: The V8s, classic rock, motown, beach favorites, (7-9 p.m.)
Friday, June 28: Darren Nicholson Band, bluegrass, traditional country, Americana and award-winning originals (7-9 p.m.)

These events are free with donations encouraged. Everyone is welcome. Dogs must be on a leash. No smoking, va**ng, coolers or tents allowed. Bring a chair or blanket. Food trucks will be available on select nights.

Happy Monday! I just updated pictures of the completed Airbnb!

Check out those bedrooms!

And, this morning, I updated pricing!

Because we haven’t been on Airbnb for a while I don’t have a lot of recent reviews. I would like to change that so I have lowered the prices for the next six weeks!

If you have family or friends that have been wanting to visit you and the area, tell them to check out Serene Woods Retreat!

Based on your response to this request and interest expressed via private messages, I may open the calendar for June forrard.

I’m concerned that I may not be able to make it on Airbnb alone as the number of rentals have increased and it seems fewer people are booking through Airbnb. I am considering Furnished Finder for moderate term rentals or potentially getting a long term renter again.

Please message me if you have dates that you would like to look at staying here after June 2.
